Connection Error

I get an error when starting TMP related to a connection issue. I have combed through the forum trying to find a solution, but nothing seems to have worked for me. One thing to note is that I have played many hours on tmp, so it has worked on my system previously. I took a little break, about 6 months, and want to get back into it.

 

Some things I have tried:

uninstalling and reinstalling the latest download files

when uninstalling, I made sure to delete the related "saved" folders

running as admin

opening the ports on my firewall

turning the firewall off completely

verifying file integrity through steam on both ETS2 and ATS

 

I have run out of ideas. Any suggestions?

Can you please try this? 
 

1: Go to ‘This PC’ and copy and paste these paths C:\Users\%YOURUSERNAME%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache and C:\Windows\Temp\WebCache
2: Delete all the WebCache files from both folders
3: Launch the launcher and try again

Try restarting your PC and then running TruckersMP as Administrator.

Solution :

 1. The launcher cannot connect to the TruckersMP server to download updates.

Restart your router and stop any other updates that can use your full bandwidth.

Also, make sure Firewall / Antivirus is not blocking the launcher.

Try the following:
 

Solution 1:
1. Goto C:\ProgramData\TruckersMP
2. Delete both core_ets2mp.dll  files
3. Start Truckersmp launcher as administrator and click on install the files.

 

Solution 2:
1. Press the Windows Key + R (Win+R) on your keyboard
2. Enter "%programdata%" and press Enter (without the quotes)
3. Find the folder "TruckersMP" and delete that folder.
4. Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher"
5. Restart your Computer
6. Go to our website and re-download and install the Launcher with admin privileges https://truckersmp.com/download/
7. Open The Launcher with admin privileges and click "Install Available Updates"

 

Solution 3:
1. Download Ultrasurf.
2. Run Ultrasurf.
3. Open TruckersMP in Administrator Mode.
4. Install the available updates (only the first run with Ultrasurf), wait for it to finish and Launch button appears.
5. Exit Ultrasurf
 
Solution 4:
Open any VPN program and try again.
Turn off firewall and anti-virus programs.
Try turning your router off for 1 minute and then turning it back on and see if you still have connection problems.

Problem solved! Because of the suggestions above, I found out it was an anti-virus program that I had forgotten was installed.
