0 Lukassrs Posted December 26, 2019 Report Posted December 26, 2019 Hello! Please take a look at this post. You can proceed as described, except that you do not do this for the mod folder, but for the main folder I hope I could help you Best regards Lukas
0 Haulvoc Posted December 26, 2019 Report Posted December 26, 2019 You can make a symbolic link, a function that's built into windows, for this. Cut "Euro Truck Simulator 2" from your documents folder and paste on your HDD. Then make a symbolic link in your documents folder. That way the ETS2 folder still appears to be in your documents folder so the game can still use it, but it won't use any of your SSD space. To make a symbolic link you have to open the command prompt and type the following line exactly as it appears: mklink /D %USERPROFILE%\Documents\"Euro Truck Simulator 2" D:\"Euro Truck Simulator 2" In this example, the folder has been moved to drive D:\ and linked to C:\<username>\Documents If your HDD drive letter and/or destination folder are different, you'll have the change the line accordingly. Folder names or paths with spaces in them need to be enclosed by quotation marks.
0 HopeShesFifteen Posted December 26, 2019 Report Posted December 26, 2019 Hi, move the ETS2 documents folder anywhere (Don't delete it, because you will need it). Create folder on your secondary drive and copy the path (Let's say D:/ETS2/docs). Run windows command prompt as administrator. Execute: mklink /D C:\Users\yourUser\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2 D:\ETS2\docs That's it. It should work. It works for me. Best regards, _iGloo_
0 BANG_ItZ_DaViD Posted December 26, 2019 Report Posted December 26, 2019 Hello! You would have to completely relocate your Documents folder first before moving your ETS2 Folder if you would like to move your docuents folder, follow the instructions below: 1. Right-click the My Documents or Documents folder. Select Properties. 2. Click the Location tab. 3. Click the Move button. 4. In the resulting dialog box, go to your name folder in drive D:, create a new folder inside it called documents, and select that. 5. After you click OK, click Yes to move your files. 6. Then wait. The actual move may take a while. If this does not work for you, feel free to message me for more help Kind Regards David C.
