TRUCKERS MP CANNOT INJECT CORE? HELP PLEASE?

I have installed truckers mp i have disc version of game and i have added product key to steam.
i keep getting same message from truckers mp and it wont launch.

Any help much appreciated!

the first solution is this:

activate the game on steam is the only way. You don't have to buy it again, just plug in the cd key in steam. It may try to download the game again though

 

and the latter:

Games > Activate Product on Steam > Insert your retail game key from the box > Play with your friends.

 delete the ETS2MP folder from documents and follow the guide below, 

 

1.      Press the Windows Key + R (Win+R) on your keyboard

2.      Enter "%programdata%" and press Enter (without the quotes)

3.      Find the folder "TruckersMP" and delete that folder.

4.      Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher"

5.      Go to our website and re-download and install the Launcher with admin privileges https://truckersmp.com/download/

 

 

Also, verify the ETS 2 game files.

If it still doesn't work you can try manually deleting the core_ets2mp.dll file in the TruckersMP folder and then opening the launcher, pressing F1 and clicking 'install available updates' so that it re-downloads. 

 

1. Go to C:\ProgramData\TruckersMP

2. delete the file core_ets2mp.dll

3. Launch TruckersMP

4. Press 'F1' and click 'install available updates'.

Uninstall both ETS 2 and TMP and re-install then try again, when installing TMP make sure that the folder that you select for ETS 2 is correct, you can find the folder where ETS 2 is installed through this guide.

If i uninstall ets2 will i not lose my save game?

also im thinking this is all a mixup as i have the disc version of the game?

The save-game file should stay but to be sure make a copy of the folder at Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2, you will see a folder called 'profiles', this has all your profiles in which you can copy and paste somewhere else on your PC for backup purposes, there will also be .bak files (should be) of your profiles. 

 

Did the game install from the disc or did you put the key into Steam and it downloaded the game?

I figured it out guys.

I did not save the truckers mp to the steam folder!

got it working now.
