Steam Auto Update now Forced!

Hi,

 

as of the latest steam update, autoupdates of games is now forced and no longer to be disabled.. you only have the open to say "allways update", "only update on game start" "high priority downloading the auto update" - there is no "dont update" option anymore.

 

what do you all and most important the ets2mp team (rootkiller?) think and say about this??

You will most likely be able to downgrade your game back to a previous version via the BETA tab so it should be okay.

maybe but i dont think i like it that steam now forces.. force is always a bad thing! oh well.

They renamed that options 1-2 Months ago.

And before that it may was called don't update the game, but in fact it updated the games when you started the them, so they only renamed it to what it really does......which took them only a few years.....

I think you can disable the auto updates from Steam Library - ETS 2 - Right click on it - Properties.

And then one of the tabs there has an option where you can change the auto update thing

The only way to stop Steam from auto-updating if that is what you want is to go on steam, In the top left click Steam/settings/downloads then you should see "Download Restrictions" set a time that you will definitely not be on your pc such as when your asleep in bed say "4 Am-4:01 Am" then steam should only try and update at the selected time, Rather than when ever it has Internet access
