Do I really need ETS to install the mod?

Guys, I need Euro track Simulator 2 to play multiplayer in American Truck Simulator? I don't have the ETS's directory....

No, you don't need ETS to install the mod.

 

Untick 'Euro Truck Simulator 2" on the "Select Components" part in the installer.

In order to play the multiplayer version of American Truck Simulator you'll need to purchase the base game. If you've not bought it, the multiplayer mod won't have any of the game files to run off of so it won't work.

I think i have one solution

• When you install the Truckers MP mod then there stands a box for ETS2 and a box for ATS. Tick just the box with the game you have because then the programm ask you for the directory

no, during the installation you should only check ATS, in this case you must have checked both.. uncheck ets then you should be good to go

You don't need ETS to play ATS, when you are installing the mod it will show Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, these both have check boxes with ticks, all you need to do is have the ATS box checked and the ETS box empty then when you proceed through the installation it will only ask for your ATS directory of which you will then input, 

 

You can find the specific ATS directory by right clicking ATS in your steam library, clicking properties and then local files, 'browse local files'.

 

The string of text in the top of the explorer window that will appear is what you copy and paste into the installation box field.
