The proportion of "useful content" in Status Updates is very small. In fact: if remove "rep" of Status Updates and offtopic posts, many people haven't more than 50 "useful reps" (including myself). But unfortunately there is no way to separate the status updates between "useful" and "useless", as example, the section to "Offtopic" (don't count posts) and "General Discussion" (count posts).
