BigJoe309 Posted March 22, 2016 Share Posted March 22, 2016 Longer Wait Time at Rest Stops Pulling over at a rest stop at your own leisure and not actually sleeping but just parking the truck for little longer , , server time stays the same. If you want to get the job done without stopping you can still do so , but for the truckers who want to take a little while longer on the jobs like myself , they can pull over a chill for a bit without getting kicked. . I have experienced times where I was kicked off the server after stopping at a rest stop to take a bathroom break or grab a drink. Being that the fatigue doesn't effect the driver in online mode and the time doesn't change if you choose the rest option , rest stops can be used in a more realistic way , however you get kicked after sometime , if you guys could extend the time before you are kicked at the rest stops only , players who pull on the side of the road or any other place than a rest stop should still be kicked after a short time of no keyboard activity but it should be a little different at the rest stops being that you may be away from the keyboard if you a rest stop . We also would have longer time to get the jobs done online since the time doesn't change , so waiting at a rest stop we would be able to arrive closer to the expected time rather than arriving hours or even days ahead of he expected time . 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

heyhococo Posted March 22, 2016 Share Posted March 22, 2016 I think this'd be somewhat complex to implement, as it'd require everyone at the same time (server time) to sleep, whichever be annoying. In this case, some people might not get done on time (eg. If they had a job with only an hour and a half to complete it). Although the idea isn't bad at all, when the servers are busy and players who actually wanna drive around are in a queue waiting to get in, this will only slow the process of people trying to get in due to parked truckers and rests taking time. Right now I think it's around 10 minutes (maybe more) before you're kicked. BigJoe309 Posted March 22, 2016 Author Share Posted March 22, 2016 Don't think I've actually seen a full server or ever had to wait in a queue to get in on ATSMP , maybe ETS 2, just want to either be able to use the rest area a bit longer without being kicked , I'm sure people won't abuse the privilege . Also it's better to not make the timer too high in case servers are getting full, so slots don't get reserved for people who aren't actively playing.
