Even though I get same error which says " fatal error " So when you play mp you get "fatal error" and when you try to play sp your steam crashed? I looked at your "bug report" and did some googling, it is possible that you have some kind of memory problem. If I had this problem I would most likely just reinstall windows. I have noticed that it is usually faster and easier than spending hours trying to find another solution to the problem. But this is just a suggestion.
