G27 and typing issues

I have a g27 and when I type in game they keys are still active in game if you get me, for example if I'm typing and press "E" it will turn off my engine and so on so forth.

I don't really want to unbind all my keys from my keyboard.

Well actually that is normal. The keys still work but not when your in a chat window, then the keys will work normaly, as soon as you're out of the chat, they revert to shutting engine, etc. 

 

Why would you want to remove this functionality?

What? I'm saying when I type in the chat window my keys effect my game so if I type "exit" in chat soon as I press "E" my engine will turn off even tho the chat window is open...

This is odd, i've never had this problem before, The only useful thing I can think of is to unbind all of the keyboard keys considering you don't use the keyboard, you use the g27, this will obviously solve the problem but may end up being quite awkward in the future.

I use a G27 my self never had this issue i can type normaly, make sure it's not something u did wrong..

I have uninstalled the mod+game removed the Logitech software still every time I load I can't type without my truck going crazy... The amount of times I have stopped typd then drove off without my trailer is crazy

Are your G27 controls on the right side of the configuration window like below. The primary should be the keys and the secondary should be the commands from the G27

My suggestion is to try reinstalling the Logitech software and check all your keys on your wheel/sifter  and see what buttons are doing that. Other then that I'd say it may be a keybinding issue.

Have you selected the right type of controller in "Controllers" tab in the settings of the game? If you select "Gamepad" when you're using a steering wheel, you may get this kind of behavior from the game.
