Standard game runs instead of MP version

Hi there

 

Me and my friend were planning to have a road trip on ETS2MP tonight, but we had discovered a problem. When my friend launches the multiplayer version, the standard game runs instead of the multiplayer version. We have tried deleting old directories, reinstalling the client and the original game numerous times and nothing has solved the problem. I know my friend hasn't been regularly updating the client, although I thought if the issue came down to updating it would of resolved itself with removal of the client and old directories. My friends game is running the ETS2 beta program and has the latest 1.21.1s.

 

Please can somebody help us!

did you allready restart the computer? I always have his problem when I update the MP and I dont restart after that...

Sorry for the late reply. A restart has not solved the problem nor has reinstalling MP again.

Hi all

 

Been a bit of a numpty! The reason SP was starting was that Steam wasn't open when we launched the MP client.

 

I feel pretty stupid bearing in mind I am an IT expert. I think I need to treat myself after that
