ETS2 Fatal Error on Simulation 1 Server

Hey everyone,

I hope this message finds you all well. I'm writing to seek some help and advice regarding a persistent issue I've been facing while playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 on the Simulation 1 server.

 

The problem is that whenever I join the Simulation 1 server, I encounter a dreaded Fatal Error that crashes the game. Strangely enough, this issue doesn't occur when I play on the Simulation 2 server. To add to the mystery, I've noticed that I can play Simulation 1 without any problems when there are only 3-4 players around me. However, as soon as the player count increases to around 10 or more, the game crashes instantly.

 

Let me assure you that I've ruled out any PC specs-related problems as the cause of this issue. My gaming rig comprises an Intel Core i5-10400, Nvidia GTX 1650 Super, 16GB RAM, and a speedy NvMe drive, which should be more than enough to handle Euro Truck Simulator 2 without any hiccups.

 

As part of troubleshooting, I attempted to create a new profile, but unfortunately, that didn't resolve the problem either.

 

Now, I'm turning to this fantastic community in the hopes that someone might have encountered a similar issue or knows what could be causing it. I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions, tips, or solutions you can offer to help me get back on the Simulation 1 server without experiencing these crashes.

 

If you have any insights or fixes that I can try out, please don't hesitate to share them with me. I'd be immensely thankful for your assistance.

You mentioned that you had a problem I'm really sorry about that. You can be sure that I will do my best to help you.

First of all I see that you are new to the forum, welcome! If you need help, don't hesitate to contact me.

1. Verify your ETS2/ATS2 files in steam. (Steam -> Right Click ETS2/ATS2 -> Properties -> Installed Files -> Verify integrity of game files)
2. Run the launcher as administrator. ( TruckersMP Launcher -> Right Click -> Run As Administrator)
3. Start ET2/ATS2 with OpenGL. (Steam ETS2/ATS2 -> Play -> Start with OpenGL -> Press DRIVE Button -> Drive a short distance -> Close ETS2/ATS2 -> Try Running TruckersMP as Administrator)
4. Open command prompt with administrator -> Type sfc /scannow -> Wait until the scan is complete -> When the scan is completed please restart your pc.

If it doesn't work despite these steps please delete the launcher and all its files and install it again.

1. Win+R -> %programdata% -> Delete TruckersMP folder.
2. Win+R -> %appdata% -> Delete TruckersMP folder.
3. C:\Program Files\ -> Delete the folder named TruckersMP Launcher.
4. Documents -> Delete ETS2MP and ATS2MP folders.
5. Win+R -> regedit -> expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> expand SOFTWARE -> delete TruckersMP file.

After doing these click HERE to download the Launcher again.

Seems like it's a Forced Entity Cramming Error. Because it's trying to load countless assets in the span of a short time.

 

• Are your settings on Ultra? Turn them down to medium.  I have an i-5 and i barely have any issues on medium settings.
• Can you get kicked from the server and try to reconnect in a desolate city? This is for the next part.
  In your in game tab settings, disable the following
• Show Cables of other players.
• Show Interior Accessories of other players.

If none of that works, i would advise creating a support ticket and include the following evidence

1. A video showing the crash in action.
2. The first crash log
   Go to your Documents > ETSMP > logs

Here, you will find 3 different log types.

1. Chat. This is the in game chat. Don't need to worry about this.
2. Client. Include this file.

Thanks for your response and the insightful suggestion. I followed your advice and turned down my settings from Ultra to Medium, which did improve the situation a bit. However, unfortunately, the game still crashes on the Simulation 1 server when the player count increases.

 

Regarding your additional suggestions, I tried disabling "Trailer Cables" and "Interior Accessories Physics" via the in-game settings menu, but it didn't seem to prevent the crashes entirely.

 

You mentioned turning off "Show Interior Accessories of other players" specifically, but I couldn't find the option for it in the settings menu. Could you kindly guide me on where to find this setting?

 

In the meantime, if there's anything else you or anyone else in the community can think of that might resolve this issue, I'm all ears. I'll also collect the evidence as you advised and consider creating a support ticket.
