Hello there!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on creating your very first forum topic ?

Now, I'll be sending a lot of things so take your time to try them all ?

Here we go ?

If your PC isn't fast enough to handle all the players that need to be loaded/handled, it's also not able to keep up with the workload of the internet processing.

Here are some steps that you can try to hopefully free up some performance ?

To increase the game performance, you need a better CPU or lower any game graphics that requires CPU performance.
For help on the above, take a look at the following link: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1300836306

When on that link, look at the following:

5) FPS tweaks
6) Graphic settings
7) ETS2 Multiplayer FPS tweaks

You can try lowering the game settings that takes CPU performance ?

You can also try lowering the Draw Distance in-game, here's how:

1. Open the TAB/player list
2. Hit the gear (Settings)
3. Go to the Graphics settings tab
4. Try lowering the Draw Distance from the usual medium to low or very low

If that doesn't help, please also try the following steps:

> Avoid using Wi-Fi.
> Avoid uploading or downloading and playing MP at the same time.
> Avoid doing Windows Updates at the same time.
> Avoid having too many users or devices at the same time into your network.
> Avoid using streaming services at the same time.
> Check your firewall settings into your router/switch.
> Prefer using servers nearest to your location.
> Try to talk with your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and see if you can come up with a solution. Ask your ISP if they support internet profiles such as Fast path or Interleave and ask for Interleave. Interleave will raise your ping but it will do more packet checks by your ISP.

If it still doesn't help, please let us know of all your PC specs, you can find what we need by following the below steps:

1. Hit the windows button on the keyboard and instantly write 'About'
2. Then open 'About your pc'

Now find the following info:

Devicespecifications

Processor ->    (I need the exact name, not just Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 3/5/7/9 etc.)
Installed MEM ->    (Gigabytes of Memory)
Systemtype -> (64 or 32-bit)

Windows-specifications

Edition (Windows 10 Pro for example) ->
Version (21H2 for example) ->

Now also do the following:

1. Hit the windows button on the keyboard and instantly write 'Device'
2. Then open 'Device Manager'

3. Now find 'video card' on the list, and expand it, now note down below what Graphics card you have

Graphics Card ->

Sorry for all the text, but that is really all we can ask for you to try. And also, with all those steps done + specs given to us (In case the steps doesn't help), we can assist you as best as possible ?

We'll be looking forward to hearing from you! ?

Sincerely,
General18

Thank you for the pc specs, I hope you tried all the instructions I gave you ?

Regarding your 8 GB of RAM: I would advise you to check how much memory is being used.

If it's too close to all 8 GB being used, it'll be swapping data from live memory to a swap file on your C drive. This can make things really slow to a point where your PC can't keep up with all the data that needs to be handled when driving around areas with a ton of players.

If possible, I would even recommend upgrading to 16 GB of RAM ?

You could also check what background programs are running and see if some can be closed to free up resources ?

Sincerely,
