This idea won't work with the current report system. We don't see what area of the map the reports come in from. We help all players from all sections, so this system wouldn't work.

 

Also, why restrict us to one area. The current system is good as-is.

The only downside I can see to this, is that it will encourage people to report for every single small offence.

As stated above this rule is in place, however, it's normally only kickable as we can't prove they are going back and forth.

If you use the Search functionality,  you can search for the rammer's username.

 

Then on the URL, you will see it says /user/xxxxxx

 

That number is the User ID that you want to report with.

 

For example, say I was the rammer, and my TMP Profile is https://truckersmp.com/user/802345

You would then put in 802345 into the perpetrator ID box.

[Why does it take so much time to get your result of reporting?]

There are currently thousands of reports in the system. We work as fast as we can but we have our own lives, and the ones we do get done, about several more come in to replace them!

The reason one was checked today was that I normally go from Oldest -> Newest (First In, First Out)

Sometimes I forget to set that. and I end up doing the newest first until I realise So please do not worry, I or another admin will get round to it eventually.

The reason we don't ban for it is that a lot of the time, it's perfectly clear, and it keeps traffic moving.

 

If people go through a red and cause others to have to take avoidance action, we can ban them for Reckless Driving though.

 

[A couple questions for the staff]

#1: What is the rule against speeding? I've read the rules but i didn't see anything that specifically mentioned speeding and the reason i'm asking this is because i've seen 4-5 people going 30+ mph over the limit in the area.

Really, this would come under Reckless Driving. Speeding on its own isn't enforced nor is against the rules. However, if another driver has to take action (slowing down, stopping, changing direction) then the speeder could face punishment for Reckless Driving. 

 

#2: Why is there no AI traffic on the servers? Is it due to performance issues or to prevent trolling/accidents? I love the mod but not seeing any other traffic on the road is weird.

Due to Server resources limitations, it would be hard to sync all the cars so they're the same for everyone. Also in places such as C-D road, AI Traffic would not be helpful in reducing the amount of traffic issues there. 

#3: When i first started playing, i had a brand new driver profile "Week 1" and after a couple of saves it started to say "Week 505", is this because of the server uptime? Will it change if the server restarts?

This is down to the fact that the time on Multiplayer is Server-Side and when you load your profile it will catch up to match. Therefore, the weeks can be out. I recommend you use a profile that is solely for MP use.

[Why the same evidence but different ban expire?]

Hi there. I'm the admin who banned the first player. Until players get ban lengths that are set due to their ban history (4th ban in 1 year), we're allowed to set the (fair) ban duration. Therefore, what I think is fair for one offence, @The Scottish Lad may have a different opinion on.
