  1. I didn't misunderstand you, I was just highlighting if I feel an admin isn't performing or if I don't agree with a decision I'll air my opinion.

While I did say I agree each case is unique, they should show some control and not go power mad by banning someone for stupid amount of time because they have the username Putin.

Let's be completely honest how many moderators or admins actually give a damn about the community? I've sent a few messages to senior members of staff and unfortunately not many of them seem too fussed at all with what I'm suggesting, I haven't even received a reply back from some of the highest ranking staff. Plus don't say they're busy because they've read it multiple times.

    Regards,

    ~ UnknownAX

Just because they read your message it doesn't necessarily mean they had the time to write an answer.

  2. I'm entitled to criticise the admins if I feel, everyone is entitled to voice their opinion. While what you say is true each case is unique, there should be a guide that they follow. A few examples have been given where one who blocks / trolls for 20 minutes gets kicked where as a user who blocked for one minute gets banned for a few hours.

I believe if a user is banned, they must also have a fair appeal, and that the same admin/mod shouldn't be the judge who says denied.

    Regards,

    ~ UnknownAX.

I did not say that you shouldn't complain. I said that instead of doing it we all should be grateful that they are here. It's not the same thing. Of course you are entitled to your opinion. We all are. You misunderstood me on that one.

Regardless, I'm pretty sure they do have guidelines. All staff in any respectful server usually does and based on what I know about the rules in this community, most of their actions always seemed fair to me. Of course there are some exceptions here and there. That always happen. Every now and then an admin is even demoted because of it. But like I said and you agreed, each case is unique. We cannot expect all admins to have the same idea on the same case. It's only but normal and expected that each of them may have a different judgement on a case and thus, causing these "discrepancies" mentioned earlier. They are human, after all and they too have their own minds and opinions, just like us.

  3. Guys, this is just how it works. The punishments are set. How long a punishment lasts and which one must be applied depends on the situation, though. That is something up to the admin to judge at the proper moment. Things such as how serious was the infraction, how many players were affected, for how long have the infraction(s) being committed, etc. This is all will determine what shall be done to the person breaking the rules.

I am an admin myself (another game. Not ETS2MP) and I know how this job works. You can't just fix a default, exact punishment and serving time for everyone. What suits well to one rule breaker may not be fair with another. (For the craziest it may sound) Each case demands a different action that cannot be default for all cases.

Instead of complaining about how the admins in this game work, you should be glad they are here, spending their precious free time for free to give us a better gaming experience. What you may think is not fair, may be actually way beyond deserved.

In other words... No to this.

P.S: "Just one small example of this is someone getting up to a week ban for a bad name by one admin whilst another admin would just kick." I've never seen such thing happen. But if it ever did happen, you must to take into consideration what name the banned player was using. It might have been too inappropriate and deserving of more than just a kick to teach the person a lesson.

  4. Advise people to not use a certain route doesn't mean they are being forbidden or that they simply shouldn't go there. It's no different from real life when the news reports on the traffic on a road and recommends drivers to take alternate routes. Close EP, even if just temporary is not a good idea and would only cause more troubles. Plus it has been suggested, already.

  5. This is not new. It has happened before. It's a server problem. When there are too many players online at the same time and the server's processor/memory usage reaches 100%, trucks start to bounce all over the place.

  6. Yup.

Quer saber? F*ck it! *vira a mesa e vai embora* Se vira, colega!"

  7. Aaaah! So that's the reason why it is disabled. I figured there should be a reason for that feature to be off. Just didn't didn't know what was it.

Heh... must be funny to see someone's truck simply take-off once they enter the NCZ of a company and activate the auto-parking. lol

  8. There used to be a NCZ in every hotel some time ago. I don't know why they removed that. I agree that it should return.

As for the gas stations... although I agree that it is a good idea they become NCZ too, it might not work as well as intended unless the NCZ is extended to a part of the road itself. For the small stations, that is. Reason I say that is because if the NCZ is limited to the terrain of the gas station only, there will be crashes when a player enters or leaves the station at the same time as another player. Pretty much the same as it already happens at the exit of companies in every city. Two or more players go through the exit at the same time, no-clipping through each other thanks to the NCZ and as soon as even one of the trucks drives outside the NCZ, they all collide.

For the small gas stations, the NCZ should cover a portion of the road as well. For the larger ones, just cover the entire terrain of the place should be enough.

  9. That could be useful for the people who cannot park manually. But I don't know how easy/difficult it should be to make it work on MP. If it's disabled now I suppose there must be a reason for it.

Like @des on the comment above, I too like to park manually (only used Auto-Park once and it was to get the achievement) but in MP sometimes it is a pain because of the amount of people parking in the same spot as you and taking ages to do it. I'm good at manual parking but often when that happens I have issues to maneuver because I simply cannot see where the fudge I am going thanks to all the people blocking my view of the parking spot.

Still... that wouldn't solve the problem of the people who finish their deliver but then won't leave the parking spot.

  10. Actually there are a couple "tricks" you can pull to save you a fortune in repairs and cargo damage fee in case you are hit by some idiot: Quick Saves and Auto Saves.

    Here's what you should do:

Every now and then during your trip, park your truck on the hard shoulder and save your game manually and resume your trip. If you are hit by a rammer and take damage, simply read his ID, report him then load that save you made when your truck and load were still in one piece. You'll be loading from a point before you had the accident so there won't be any maintenance or fee charges for you to pay.

If you are already too far away from the point you last saved, try loading an Auto Save. On the Load menu, check the "Show Auto Saves" box and load the latest one. In most times that save has been created automatically before you had the accident. Just make sure that you start the engine and drive off immediately as soon as the game loads so you'll avoid a potential accident. Sometimes there might be someone coming up when your truck spawn after a save load and they may crash into you.

Another thing is to enable the Quick Save in the settings menu. Assign a key to it and as you drive by, press that key when you judge it is safe to do so. That will automatically save your game and current state in a save file called "Quick Save". In case of damage, simply load that save. Just, again, remember to drive off immediately as soon as you spawn.

Also don't worry if the Route Advisor says you are late to make your delivery. You are not. If unsure simply press F6 and you'll see that you've got plenty of time to complete your delivery. That notification is just a bug. It happens because the in-game time is handled by the server, but the client registers its own time on the save so the game thinks you are late.

On top of all, always drive defensively.

  11. Hi MrWohoo,

Yes, it is possible to reconnect to Euro Truck Simulator 2 Multiplayer after being kicked due to being idle.  Here are possible steps (there may be more shortcuts, such as the ones Max Power mentioned above).

11w8ymg.jpg     Press Esc.  Save if desired.

    14xcwhd.jpg     Select Quit.

    2u78tok.jpg     Select Yes.

2j4zgx5.jpg     Locate the icon for multiplayer and execute its program.

2z4wi94.jpg     Wait for the opening animation to finish.  Alternatively, to avoid this, you can use Esc.

30boh7t.jpg     Login.  Be sure to select the server that you wish to connect to.  When spawning, be sure to spawn in a safe area.

    Happy trucking,

    -Alex

I saw this post and all I could think of is that Alex's face looked like this while writing:

  12. One thing that should also help increase your cash a little faster is switch trucks with your drivers, if you have any. You don't need to drive their truck but simply switch. Go to the Garage Manager>Truck Manager and click on each truck of each driver you have hired and click on "Drive It". This will obviously give that truck for you to drive but before the game gives you the truck and put the driver in your current truck, the driver will first have to complete his/her job. Because time is skipped when you do this, the cash that drive makes from their trip is cashed into your account immediately. Switch trucks with your drivers and watch your savings go up!

This is also effective if your economy has crashed from playing on MP. As you may know, sometimes jobs won't show up for you and/or your drivers won't earn money from their job when you come back to singleplayer. They simply never finish their trips. When any of that happens it means the economy has crashed. You can go on the game files and change a setting in one of the files to reset it but you can also switch trucks. Like I already explained, that will "force" the drivers to complete their jobs, it will get you the money and thus, it will automatically reset the economy. It works like a charm for me, at least. Never failed so far.

  13. Well then. The door is over there. Please close it on your way out and don't come back knocking on it later on because it is too cold outside. We'll manage to have fun without you. For the saddest it might be (it isn't), we'll manage to overcome this moment of crisis (#sarcasm). Enjoy the holidays.

P.S: While one player leaves, another hundred join.

  14. Because, that place exist in the game.

Doesnt, make sense to avoid it.

Then don't complain! You know what you are getting into when you decide to go there. I myself only go there when the server is more quiet and has less players on (below 1000, usually). I hardly ever have troubles when I go there in these more quiet times but I do sometimes on busy hours. Though even so it's not always, because I drive very defensively. I don't complain because I know what I am subjecting myself to. You shouldn't either. Let alone give up on MP just because of that. It is no news that Rotterdam, Europoort and Amsterdam are chaotic places.

  15. That seems about right, dude. You'll only get better pays as you level up. The 20's still doesn't pay the greatest but you gotta keep on trucking! Took me about a year of driving everywhere to reach level 61 and pays as high as £ 145.822 (the max pay on my Freight Market at the moment I type this comment).

  16. So let me get this straight... a speed limitation... on an already existing speed limitation? What is this? Speed-limitception? And for using bad words in chat? I'm sorry but this is just silly. Plus it would certainly require a lot of coding. A big waste of time for something so small. I don't like cursing and bad words myself, but this kind of thing is mostly insignificant. Kick/ban is waaaaaaaaaaaaay more effective if the offense is bad enough to require action from the staff.

    Besides:

    1- The developers already stated several times before that changes in the speed limiter, although possible, are very complicated to do and would take a bunch of time that would be more well-spent on building/improving the mod itself so no, they are never going to do it;

2- Swearing is something so tiny that does not even deserve the attention of admins. The time they'd spend on moderating every single word that is said by the over 2500 players in the chat every single day would be better spent dealing with the thousands of reports they already have. Rammers, griefers/trolls, blockers, etc. It all is way more important. If something said in the chat is grave enough to require admin action, then a kick or ban would, as I already stated above, be much more effective.

With all taken into consideration, bother with this kind of thing would be just a huge waste of time and resources.

Even better... try a 310 HP Iveco with a 25 ton trailer.

  17. If you want to save money and yet buy a good truck, I recommend the Volvo FH 16 Classic. You can get one with 560 HP (I think it is 560. I don't remember exactly. It's something around that) for around 98/99K. You can then upgrade it up to 750 HP later on. No other truck in the game but the Volvos can have that much power. Besides, the Volvos are compatible with all the accessories/upgrades currently available. They're the best trucks you can buy for the best price. No other truck brand offers you so much for so little. You can buy other trucks for 99K but they are much inferior to the FH 16 Classic, specs-wise.

  18. Same, I'll obey the lights unless Yellow or Green (except when it just turns or no ones around).

Always have the chat enabled as users near you list is attached to it for some reason. And always (till they are synced again) treat all green/yellow lights as red/all way stop...

I'd say to treat them as blinking yellow, actually.

  19. Yeah... you'd think that three versions after the update for 1.15 and they'd have fixed that by now but noooope! No working traffic lights for us. This has got ridiculous, already. Last night I had an accident in a intersection because the light was green for me and another driver. I entered the crossing first and suddenly I got hit on the side and called names as if I had any guilt.
