  1. Hello all, I haven't used the wheel for a while on ETS2, and having spent a few months at work driving coaches I forgot what the G27 wheel was like, and I'm sure I had this problem last time. It works but the wheel is stiff as anything. When it's unplugged its light, but when it's plugged in, it gets tight and heavy which is usually does, and I haul the wheel for the calibration, but it lightens up on OMSI2 and Assetto Corsa and feels as it should, but it doesn't change when using ETS2. I've turned off FFB in the sim and I have NO centrespring steering enabled, yet I have to really hold the wheel to go left or right as it's fighting me to go back to the centre position. I tried setting the Centrespring force to 0% in the logitech profiler, even though it's not enabled, but it's not changed it. On a motorway it's fine, elsewhere it's a nightmare, I'm driving a Scania R series 70 plate, yet feels like driving a 1940s truck with no power steering, works muscles in my arms but by god my shoulders ache after! Anyone else had this and if there is a fix or setting? It's not FFB related in the sim, having the tick box selected or not makes absolutely no difference. I unplugged the wheel and restarted the sim, plugged the wheel back in and no difference at all. Any help appreciated! James.
  2. Hello all, So recently I found a G27 wheel on Ebay, £140 with a stand. I previously had a G25 wheel which was perfect, no problems with it or on ETS2, but the G27 was attractive with more buttons on the wheel for retarder etc. On plugin in the G27 and setting it up, I am having serious issues getting the wheel to match the sim. The sim wheel has made a full 900 degree turn and my G27 wheel is at 90 degrees at this point! The truck wheel turns way too fast! I am having this problem in another sim as well, yet looking on Youtube with a G27 it's running fine. I've googled the suggestions, like setting the Centre Spring to 100%, setting the rotation to 780 degrees, on the game settings, setting the linear to 0 and setting the steering sensitivity to max, and the sim wheel is still way too fast and over sensitive, nothing has changed that. I can't seem to get the full rotation in the Logitech Controller calibration either. I've read reports that if this happens, then that's it, it's basically broken? Does that mean I'm better off selling it buying another second hand one? I haven't sold my G25 wheel, maybe I should go back to that instead? Anyone else still having G27 problems and moved on to something else, or is there anything I can do before I do sell it? Any help is most appreciated! James.
  3. Suggestion Name: Everyone is in Ghost Mode on all servers Suggestion Description: Everyone is in Ghost Mode all the time Any example images: Why should it be added?: I know options to turn on/off ghost mode have been suggested, but really it should just be on all the time by default, I seriously think it would massively reduce all the trolls and kiddies that are just out to ruin everyone's day. I could not complete one job today because of all the rammers, and it would save filing reports all the time too.
  4. Hello all, I dont drive IRL, I've had a 125cc automatic scooter years ago but thats it. I use a G25 Wheel with manual range splitter with manual clutch. However now and again I manage to crunch the gears, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I sometimes get this sort of grinding sound. It can't be that I haven't got the clutch in, as the gear changes but then when I let off the clutch fully and press the throttle again it makes this grindy sound. Do you have to let the clutch out fully before accelerating? I tried it with releasing the clutch and at the same time pressing the accelerator pedal, but I still get this sound. I don't want to keep replacing the gearbox when I keep breaking it lol! Also with the switch button between low and high gears, can you realistically press it BEFORE pressing the clutch in? I find when I'm approaching a T junction in 11th gear and need to turn left and want to be in 4th. I find it tricky to slow down just before the junction, press the clutch, flick the H shifter into N, find the switch button on my H shifter (I have it set to the lower left red button on the G25 shifter) without looking at it, then knock it into 5th or whatever I need, all in under 5 seconds! I often leave the clutch in when slowing down, is that right? Again I don't have a clue, I've yet to learn to drive, and I'm just trying to work it all out myself! Also, do you need to go through each gear? When pulling away I'm mashing through the gears, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th in no time, and generates a lot of work before I put it in N, hit the switch, then put it in 7th etc. Pulling away in 2nd seems to work but not sure if thats a realistic way of doing it? Any help would be most appreciated! James.
  5. Yes, not been using all the techniques but is helpful so that I can modify my technique! I've only driven a motorbike, and the only thing I drive with 4 wheels is a forklift. I'm still not perfect, but there's nothing worst than arriving at a yard and there's 5 other drivers sitting there watching you make a pigs ear out of it!
  6. Another one, but applies to all ports really, remember where you are! I've already had a few near misses with people driving out on the wrong side of the road. I know, it's easy to go on Autopilot, I left Europoort on the left side, I was singing away to the tune on ETS Radio and forgot I'd left the UK I did put a sorry message in. Having just done this for 2 days, I went in for a job to Rotterdam. Bloomin heck, rather hairy for a Multiplayer rookie!! Light tractor unit's flying around everywhere, yard's busy with driver's picking up/dropping off trailers, had my wits about me for nutters on the road!
  7. Ahh that'll be why Thank you very much Adde!
  8. Hello all, I'm new to ETS2MP and loving it! However, do you need to be active to be online? The past couple of sessions, I've parked up at a parking area or at parking spot past the petrol station, switched the engine off, handbrake on, then gone for a loo, coffee and a smoke, and then return to see 'OFFLINE' in the top right corner. I then save, exit, reboot ETS2MP and it's fine. It's not happened when I'm actually driving, just happens if I park up and leave the cab for 5-10 minutes. Any help is much appreciated James.
