A mixture of gpu, cpu and ram.
Make sure you have (ideally) 6 or more GB RAM to have some in reserve (this requires a 64 bit windows), since loading those players eats very much of the ram.
Make sure that your GPU can run with the settings you use, at most of the time with 40, better 50 or even more, frames per second.
And the CPU should have a high single core performance since the ets2 engine uses only 2 cores (you can see this in the log file in your ets2 directory/documents folder). So ideally a not that old i5 or i7 by intel or amd a or fx series.
When you enter Rotterdam or any other heavily populated areas, your computer will still stutter (tried it on mine, even low graphics settings don't bring much more fps).

Or did you turn off automatic savegames? Or do you have autmatic resetteting activated / resettet you computer

I have Lags on multiplayer on low settings.. I have NVIDIA GeForce GT540M 1GB, and I have absolutly lags.. Do you know why ?
Turn down the quality to mid or low. And/Or reduce the scaling to about 100%
Around 438 players on the server and no trucks around me and it makes my game start freeze up to 15 seconds, keeps doing that alot and i have never had that problem before.. started today
But it goes away once the messanges pops up such as, Teamspeak , some polish comercial and all the other things which pop up. At the moment it's very frustrating to play when it keeps happening.
I do not have any problems with my internet nor my PC so it's all the server/mod this time.
did you try reinstalling mp?

(do this on your old computer) Copy the "Eurotruck Simulator 2" folder which you can find in your documents folder on to a usb/dropbox etc.
(do this on your new computer) Make sure that there is no "Eurotruck Simulator 2" folder in your documents folder. If there is a folder with that name, delete it. (This makes the following action a lot easier).
Now use the usb/dropbox etc and copy the folder from there to your documents folder.
Now everything should work

If that is a suggestion for changing actual weather generation system, go to SCS forums. That's not a MP job.
If you mean weather synchronization, you have to wait a bit more, the feature is still under construction.

Another thing that might be important on rules of the street, regarding motorway exits:
Short story for the reason I made this is that I experienced many drivers driving over those "blocked spaces" like normal lanes and causing jams/damage and people switching lanes too late before an exit.
I kept the language simple. If the mentioned objects don't fit with the orginal terms, you are allowed to correct me, because I don't know their names in English either.

Maybe you mean these artifacts that appear since 1.17 mostly in Scandinavia?
It looks like everybody has this issue not matter what GPU they're using. (Only intensity and frequency are different between the gpus)

Had this problem in SP. Closing Steam and ETS2 and then starting both again helped.

There has been a statement that so far there is no mp neither for Linux or for OSX planned in the alpha stage.
And I doubt that the early beta will support Linux or OSX

I don't know what libaries the devs are using to inject their data to the base game, but if those libaries only work with the directx pipeline, it would be like programming a competely new mp, just to make it work with openGL
