  1. Suggestion Name:

    Limited honk time

    Suggestion Description:

We all know the annoying honk-spammers. Slamming their horn-button for 5 full minutes just because they can. What I propose, is a horn-timer. I.e. you can only use your horn for a total of 30 seconds per hour. If you reach 30 seconds of total horn-time then it just basically blocks your horn input and you have to wait 1 hour from your first horn usage before you can use another 30 seconds of honking.

30 seconds is just an example.

    Example:
You log on.  You have 30 seconds of horn-time from that moment.

You wanna say hello with your horn to a passing truck. You honk for 2 seconds. You now have 28 seconds of horn time left for the next 60 minutes.

The 60 minutes now starts counting down.

For every time you use your horn your timer is deducted the amount of seconds the honk lasts.

After 60 minutes since your first horn usage the timer resets to 30 seconds and the timer starts counting down again when you use your horn for the first time in that period.

So if you decide to waste 30 seconds of honking in the first 5 minutes of your gameplay, then you have to wait 55 minutes before you can honk again.

    Why should it be added?:

To avoid going deaf and avoid overuse of horns for no reason.

  2. In Denmark you only use your indicators when changing lanes. Not while you are driving in the inside lane. It is not a requirement either that you use your indicators before you enter the roundabout when you want to take the first exit.

  3. He is suggesting that they implent in to the game that there a cameras on the truck. Like, rear-view camera etc etc visible from the cabin.

But for that you will have to suggest that to the SCS forums, since MP can't change hardcoded parts of the game, which this will be.

  4. The admins are not doing anything wrong. They see that you are doing something wrong and they act upon it. Just like cops irl. Cops see you are speeding, they ticket you.

If you think the admins are doing a poor job, then its your job to record the admins. Not the other way around. Look at russia.. They have insurance problems. They cant trust each other. Thats why they have dashcams. To prove their innocense in a insurance case.

  5. Use the search function. Something similar is already suggested and somewhat approved.

RootKiller said that in Beta they will work on having 2 servers but the 2 servers to be in sync with each other. As in Player A on server 1 can see Player B on server 2.

It's a low priority, but they planning something like that.

    Just gonna repeat that

  7. I feel like you have not fully read my original post, I said:

"A simple /tow command. If Truck A is within 10-15m of Truck B, Truck A could type /tow [2]. Truck B would write /towaccept [1]. This would simply teleport Truck B into a parked position 3-5m behind Truck A. Truck B could mirror the direction Truck A is facing, and simply be placed behind a few meters."

I also suggested in a post afterwards, this could be achieved using coordinates ingame, the same way the admins/streamers use coordinates to move around.

It also has nothing to do with being lazy. It is more along the lines of encouraging players to interact with each other, I thought about what is a very common situation in Euro Truck, truckers stuck out on the road (it really doesn't matter how, crashing because you're a bad driver, lag, someone ramming, it's irrelevant), you always come across someone who is stuck, somewhere. This simple (albeit pointless I admit) command would give players the power to do something about it, which in turn gives players the tools to interact with someone, in this particular situation.

This is not a bypass to the services function, by any means, It would just eliminate the need to constantly use it even when it's not really needed to fix some simpler issues.

I do not think however, IF in some way this would get accepted, that this kind of feature should be implemented right now. As alot of you have said, there are far more important things to take care of first, than adding silly commands for players. I think it's best to make these kinds of suggestions in any case, in the future if something like this seems possible, we already have a record of it, and some feedback and so on so forth.

Sorry for late replies, and a (late) Happy New Year to all :)

I have read your post. You just didnt understand my post.

Truck A is stuck. Truck B wants to help. Truck B parks up and is ready to tow. Suddenly truck C appears and parks up behind truck B. Truck A accepts the tow and truck A is teleported on top of truck C and both of them goes flying.

This is really not needed at all. The F7 + enter is enough.

  8. Stop being lazy and use F7 + enter.

+ an issue this can cause, is that it can be abused to damage other trucks. If it teleports the truck on the road where another truck is already parked, then both of them will go flying.

  9. True. People should stop being lazy. If they take a turn too fast then its their fault and they should face the consequences. In this case, spend time on F7 + Enter and drive back on the road.
