  1. I really loved that idea until we got an opportunity to test them, then it turned to be a nightmare:

    Pros: Double trailers <3

     

    Cons:

    • Brakes were horrible (you could use only the trailer brakes, otherwise the 2nd trailer pushes you so much that you end up jackknifed)
    • Reversing is pretty much impossible due to the dolly (people can't even park 1 trailer - I don't want to think what will happen if they have to reverse with 2 trailers)
    • Teleporting to anywhere was impossible (2nd trailer gets caught in some building or wall and you couldn't move, or you end up falling under the map)
    • Finishing delivery was impossible (auto-park doesn't work because of the point above + you couldn't really detach the trailers + the game wants you to park the first trailer - the 2nd trailer didn't matter for it, also imagine having to park in e.g. Posped)
    • Potential Trolls

    But something caught my eye:

  3. We cannot force everyone to buy a DLC just because those of us who already have it cannot use it in MP.

     

    In my opinion using mods with the same collision models as replacement (the 2nd option) is the easiest solution, however due to the nature of MP, there are some obstacles and requirements which are preventing this from happening (at least for now):

     

    • The quality of the mod
    • Compatibility with MP mod
    • Author's permission to use his works in MP
    • Mod's behaviour in MP (e.g. being spawned in large numbers)
    • The collision box of the mod must be exactly the same as Scwarzmuller's ones

    Removing the collision in these zones and the AI traffic was necessary, otherwise playing in MP mode would've been impossible

    IMO this will be quite easily abused by trolls to wreck those who drive slower (e.g. toggle the mode on, drive through a guy, when you are right in front of him toggle it off and slam on the brakes).

    Anyway, back in 2014 the collisions on EU2 were turned off and the server was pretty much dead. it became popular after its collisions were turned back on - The users preferred to drive with collisions on, even if it meant driving on a server with speedlimiter

  5. ^It is not supported, because there is no trailer (from the non-DLC ones) in the game which is big enough to replace Schwarzmuller for people who don't have that DLC, so they will start to sink, jump and stutter around*, so going around this problem is difficult.

     

    That's what happens in e.g. SAMP when you use a mod with different collision box than the one of the game's original model - people see you sinking or glitching around

     

    (edit to prevent potential misunderstanding: I used to play on SAMP servers and the same issue occurs, but there weren't any DLCs, while here the content is from a DLC....)

    Я думаю, что это то, что происходит:: когда администратор принимает репорт, сайт автоматически добавляет еще 1 бан на профиле пользователя. Они все еще добавить ваши доказательства и увеличить наказание пользователя даже если репорт был отклонен.

    After I've read your suggestion, I feel like there's some misunderstanding - Bans are not simply issued when admins are bored - they are issued when the user gets caught while their actions/behaviour is ruining other users' gameplay (aka breaking the rules). Of course, Its up to every player how he wants to behave, however our actions always have consequences, sadly some people do forget about it.

     

    Also when your appeal gets accepted, it doesn't mean that your violation is forgotten - it means that you are forgiven and you receive one more chance, but if a user manages to accumulate a lot of bans in a short period of time, it means that he doesn't respect nor care about the rest of the players.

  8. Most likely the admin who banned you is not online at the moment or he has more appeals queued to deal with before he can handle yours

    (Also IIRC, the appeal will be automatically sent to Project Managers if there is no response from the admin for certain amount of time)
