I cannot login...

Hello,

 

I was trying to Login to online ETS2. Once I open it through TruckersMP, the password is correct and I have no issue, but once I select the server, ETS2 claims that the password is incorrect (and I type the correct email and password) and after some times it locks my account. I have retyped everything and changed my password and now I have no idea what to do... TruckersMP claims that the password is correct and ETS2 Online claims its not...

If your login information work for TruckersMP.com but you can`t login ingame you should try one of these fixes:

First of all make sure you`re logged in with the same Steam account which you were on when you registered at TruckersMP.

Open notepad or a text editor.
You need to write 2 rows, on 1st your email, on the 2nd your password.
Now, copy the email from notepad and paste it in the ingame login screen using keyboard shortcut keys (CTRL+C for copy, CTRL+V for paste - ~ Please notice that these shortcuts may be different in your country. If they don`t work, please inform yourself how you can do it on google ~).
Do the same for the password.
Login.

If the solution didn`t work, you must have a strange character in the password that can`t be recognized by the login system ingame.
To bypass this problem, you should change your account password to only latin letters (a to z) and digits (0-9). Please notice that by doing this your password might lack in strength.
In order to change your password, you must login at TruckersMP.com, press Edit Account, insert the new password twice, confirm the old password twice and then press save data.

I hope that one of these fixes worked and you`re now able to login ingame.

Thank you for the reply. I have tried what you have advised for me and no joy :c My Password does not have any characters which the login does not recognise. Is there any more ways to do it?

Can you reset your password? And are you sure your email address is correct? If you're not sure about these, you can reset your password. If you can't do this, please send a ticket to us.

Sorry for the late response. I have tried doing the notepad trick and there is no joy sadly :c. I have made sure the email and the password is correct, I have even changed the password and still no joy. The thing is that the TruckersMP site lets me login just fine but after you go to select the server and it shows you the game menu of ETS2, it says there that my login is incorrect even if they are correct. Do I need to reinstall the game or something?

Yes, I have changed the password... still nothing :c Will reinstalling the game help? I dont want to lose my progress.

Reinstalling the game wouldn't help, since the game doesn't use the password, only our launcher uses that  

 

So, reinstalling the Truckersmp launcher might solve your problem. So please try that by following the below instructions:

 

1. Press the Windows Key + R (Win+R) on your keyboard
2. Enter "%programdata%" and press Enter (without the quotes)
3. Find the folder "TruckersMP" and delete that folder.
4. Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher"
5. Navigate to C:\Documents\ and delete the folder named "ETS2MP"
6. Go to our website and re-download and install the Launcher with admin privileges https://truckersmp.com/download/

Try heading over to the World of trucks website, and change your password. It seems like you're writing the wrong email or password, or maybe even both
