0.5 Second lag Spike Every 2 Seconds.

So a couple days ago, I noticed, that the game has become unplayable. Some simple specs: PC Specs: i5 10400, RTX 3060, 32 gb 3200hz RAM + Fanatec Racing Wheel.

I have been playing TMP for well over 100 hours now, and I have never really had any performance issues except near Calais (due to people, and it dropped to 10-25 fps, tho nothing more).

Now, for some reason, I get a 0.5-1 second Lag Spike about every 2 seconds (only if players are nearby) and it makes the game unplayable.

Solutions I've tried:

Set ETS2 Priority to "high" in Task Manager,

change settings to low/ aswell as turn Vsync on/off,

change various ETS2 and TMP settings,

restart PC, check Driver updates, etc.,

Nothing Helped. Something else that may be in intrest for you, is that often, before I get to really play, I usually first get kicked from the game 1-3 times for unrealiable Connection, but then I get to play the game with no issues.

I'm not sure if it's a WIFI issues, but I'm guessing, since often, the WIFI all of a sudden just dissappears ( and the connection with WIFI just breaks, For the whole PC, not just TMP). Any IDEAS? Let me know, PLEASE.

damnit, seems to be working now, more or less. But the problem with connection of wifi just randomly breaking has not been solved. just broke 2 m ago. Any ideas on that? (wifi disapears on whole pc)

First of all, welcome to TruckersMP Forums here at Help section.

I have carefully read your issue you're having and come for thus solutions for you: 

 

Solution 1 - > Verify in-game files in TruckersMP Launcher 

• Open TruckersMP Launcher as an administrator 
• Click on this button - > and let the launcher verify your files. 

 

 

Solution 2 -> GPU Driver 

• If you have recently downloaded any new graphics driver, go to NVIDIA or AMD website and get back the older one. 

 

Solution 3 -> Settings in - game 

• - Enable Vsync  - is always better to having a Stable FPS Rate around 60 than often a Jumping between 180 till 45 or lower.
• - Set Scale to 200% could be less 125% could be less
• - Disable MLAA
• - Disable DOF
• - Set all following Quality Settings to hight, it do not have everything on max quallity - it depends on your components in your PC
• - Disable Anisotropic Filtering by moving the Slider to the left Side.

 

Solution 4 -> TruckersMP Launcher  

• - try unclick some of them as Cabin Accesories in another trucks, Flags, and draw distance reduce to min. 
• - Development Logging  
• - Smoothing Distance
• - Load Cabin Accessoires
• - Load Flags
• - Aditional Lights
• - Draw Distance 
• Also please remember, that FPS will drop dramaticlly if you are close or passing a really busy area, once you have crossed the area you will be fine

Solution 5 -> Create a new profile -- > It's also possible you might have a corrupted profile, in that case you can ensure by creating a new one and try to set up whole game, and graphics again. 

 

Lastly, please keep in mind that the TruckersMP servers may also cause your game a bit lagging (only sometimes!).

• Yes, I use ResHade https://reshade.me/ 
• My ping is usually about 25-32 ms  when streaming a bit more.
