Connection refused - Promods

Go to play the game and once i am loaded into my truck the red writing at the bottom tells me that the connection is refused as promods-assets-v263 is invalid or corrupt.

 

 

I have just redownloaded from the Promods website. I even unchecked the special transport when generating my def file after some googling and seeing that as a suggestion.

Check to make sure you have it in the correct folder.   
Reasons this may happen:

• You have the mods in a OneDrive folder.
• You may have placed it in the wrong mod folder. it should look something like this: C:\Users\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod  (after "Users\ should be your name) Be sure it is in the Euro Truck Simulator 2 mod folder and NOT ETS2MP  ETS2MP mod folder.  
• Try repairing the game
