Manual gearbox, bugged or not?

Hi,

 

I recently been playing ets2 way more and wanted to switch from automatic gearbox or to a manual one, but when i switch to manual i can't switch gears, like not at all.

My truck is not broken and i have no issues with other type of gearboxes.

 

Does anyone know a fix for this or is it something that im doing wrong?

First off, thank you for creating a topic and welcome to the TruckersMP forum! 

To answer your question, you need to have key binds to bind Gear shifting Up and Down. 
To check these or assign them, use the following in game, 
>Menu 
>Options 
>Keys and button options

There you will see all the key assignments and button configurations. 

I'd also suggest reassigning them to a different key if this still doesn't work. 

Also as a side note, you can assign a key to change between a Sequential or an Auto gearbox while driving.

Thanks for sharing your problem with us,

Make sure you have configured a key to raise and lower gears, this if you use keyboard, if you use gearbox you must change the configuration and enter the changes one by one.

First off, thank you for creating a topic and welcome to the TruckersMP forum!  

Did you set the clutch key from the keyboard in your game settings?

If you haven't set it in your game settings,I suggest you do it here. "C:\Users[you]\My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\profiles" When you follow this path, you can set the clutch with the keyboard from the "controls.sii" file located there.

First of all,

> Open Controls.sii.
> Search with ctrl f on the keyboard.
> Search there by typing "j_clutch"
> Type here the key you want to use on the keyboard.



> Again, we search for clutch from Ctrl F.
> Likewise, whichever key we wanted above, we must select the same key here.

> If you have done these steps correctly, it will look like this in the game.

I did everything on your list and sadly nothing( i opened the file with notepad, don't know if that was the proper way).

Also in the gearbox_layout_ i got clutch mode analog, is this correct?
