The presence on Promods servers will always be reduced as not every GM actually has every map DLC and thus wouldn't be able to enter the server to moderate.

There has always been a smaller number of admins on ProMods, as many don't have all the required DLCs or the mod installed.

The fact that the TruckersMP team is aware of the solution to that problem but doesn't put it in action renders me speechless.

Why haven't you already added "must own all DLCs" to the requirements of becoming a game moderator?

How else is a game moderator supposed to fulfill his duties to the full potential, if he fails to provide all necessary tools for his work?

This was asked in the Q&A 2024 and answered

Fair enough, and the high number of upvotes (suggestion: 14 upvotes, question: 26 upvotes) should be reason enough for the TruckersMP team to seriously re-consider their decision.

First of all, greetings to everyone,

I would like to talk about the driver's license system, which is one of the ideas on my mind, and get your opinions. This driver's license, which is a system that will make the game very realistic, can be easily obtained by taking a written exam, and systems such as tachometers can also be developed in this way. I'm curious about your opinions too.

Are you talking about tachometers or tachographs? 🤔

I'd welcome the introduction of working tachographs in both simulators, as it would increase realism.

  4. @OtherGuy,

I heartly thank you for providing the results of your detailed research.

The question remains on my mind:

What (new) in-game events or features would encourage players to invite more friends to join American Truck Simulator in TruckersMP?

    I have following ideas:

    • regular convoy events
    • adding more diverse job types or special cargo deliveries
    • having monthly or seasonal challenges where players compete for rewards based on factors like distance traveled, cargo delivered, or fuel efficiency
    • enhance the customization options for trucks and trailers
    • introduce dynamic events such as road closures, or extreme weather conditions that require players to work together to overcome challenges and earn rewards

    Just thinking aloud.

  5. Is an annual event similar to an American National Truck Driving Competition of interest for TruckersMP, in particular against the background of increasing the player numbers in American Truck Simulator?

In contrast to other events held in the past in TruckersMP, the National Truck Driving Competition is an event where truck drivers demonstrate their skills in various challenges related to safe driving and maneuvering.

It's an opportunity for drivers to showcase their expertise, compete against other drivers, and promote safety in the trucking industry.

It's not about motosport categories like racing, drifting, or similar.

  6. In general, it is not your fault if another player rear-ends you.

In most cases, a rear-end collision is caused by

    • a lack of safety distance,
    • distracted driving, or
    • a combination of the above.

As a rule of thumb, the safety distance should be at least half of the driving speed in meters.

For example, if one drives at a speed of 100 km/h, the minimum safety distance should be 100 / 2 = 50 meters.

Another way to keep your safety distance is the three-second rule.

The three-second rule is a rule of thumb stating that you should keep a timely distance of three seconds to a preceding vehicle.

In the field that means if a preceding vehicle passes e.g. a traffic sign, a tree or any other fix marker you should pass that spot three seconds later.

So when the preceding vehicle passes the spot, just slowly start to count 1,000...2,000...3,000.

If you arrive earlier than three seconds, increase your safety distance.

This will force people, in time, to stop the practice with overtaking traffic via the gas stations. Simple. One only need to think a bit and have a living imagination.

I took your advise, thought a bit, and came to the conclusion that if one considers the high traffic volume in that area, a toll station might lead to a traffic congestion and worsen the present situation.

Now that I think of it: Is there a 'central place' or road people like to drive mostly in ATS, like C-D in ETS2? Perhaps there could be made a topic or something where we could establish some general/default meetup place so that you know where the most players are or something like that. As  has been said earlier: Crowds attract crowds.

Las Vegas occationally has (or had) some more players, but nothing anywhere close to the player numbers of the infamous areas in Europe.

  9. Euro Truck Simulator 2 has been around longer, and consequently has established a larger and more active community.

American Truck Simulator provides a diverse range of landscapes, from the deserts of Arizona to the forests of Oregon.

It includes iconic trucks like Peterbilt and Kenworth, and distinct highway systems such as the Route 66.

And its level of detail and realism is second to none.

I love American Truck Simualtor for its immersive portrayal of the iconic american trucking experience.

To attract more players, the TruckersMP team and also VTCs could promote it more prominently by organizing regular events, like convoys,, truck driving championships, etc.

Suggestion Name:Solve the congestion problem at the Kirkenes quarry

Suggestion Description:When the Kirkenes quarry road player has a large number of players, players should be forbidden to pull a locomotive weighing 61T

    Any example images:

Why should it be added?: when there are players pulling a 61T locomotive, the roads tend to become more congested, with slow traffic speeds and increased travel times. Especially when going uphill, they take 5 or even 10 times longer than the average player.

Your suggestion lacks a definition of the term "larger number".

Your suggestion lacks evidence that the uphill driving time is extended by 5 to 10 minutes in comparison when a player is hauling a locomotive.

Your suggestion seems to be based on impatience.

Hi! After the situation presented in the video, I had a question - what is the right thing to do in terms of traffic rules in this case?

This intersection looks very dangerous, I would like to understand who should have given way. The question may seem obvious to some, but I really don’t fully understand how to turn here.

    @Sho Doing,

    you have right of way.

Oncoming left turning traffic, as well as traffic that enters the intersection are required to give way.

  12. Thanks for your suggestions.

All prospective staff members are required to complete a corresponding training to be fit for active duty.

Why would an ordinary player be given the permission to act as a moderator without proper training?

How do the provided requirements ensure that the chosen player is fit for the task?

In particular, how does a player's...

... time spent in the game,

    ... duration of membership, and

    ... number of DLCs

qualify him or her for a job as moderator?

What happens if a player meets all requirements but can't afford all DLC's?

In my opinion, the sim 1 speed limit should be increased because 110 kmh speed may not be enough in some places.

---> "Simulation" 2 server is your friend (server speed limit: 150 km/h).
