If you download the official version of the mod there won't be any virusses in it.
Another thing is you are using Norton which is one of the worst anti virus programs and known for flagging content falsely.

I have the christmass paintjobs and I have no problems on my end, you could try to check your file integrity on steam.

A workaround for the "@" symbol is to use "alt+6+4".

I had the same problem.
I then re-installed the mp and rebooted my pc, I can now load the game and log in but I'll still be offline for some reason.

Also not possible to do in MP because of time sync.

Make sure that your Steam is on public when installing and running the MP mod.

Developing (SCS) is much easier than Reverse engineering.. and developing (ETS2MP).. just be sure to keep that in mind!
I'm aware of that since I'm a programmer myself. I just get the feeling that the dev team only started on the 1.14 realease when the official version came out.

I do notice some small issues on the EU server with US players having minor dsync due to their higher ping.
That being said I would add to that that it only becomes problematic in high populated areas and in some larger convoys.

Would be nice if the mp development could keep up with the scs development because now the mp is constantly 1 or 2 patches behind.

Its a nice idea but when the server is full, i'd like to log on instead of someone who is sitting afk for 1 hr :l

There most likely will be a winter landscape around christmass as stated on the old forum.

You most certainly can because the mp mod opens up the SP savefile.

If you have difficulties backing up a trailer try parking it in 3rd person view, that way you get a better view of your truck and the suroundings.
After a while you can try doing it in cabin view.
Also a controller or wheel helps since they both give you more steering and acceleration accuracy.

All the servers are on temporary freeroam due to some spoofing issues, they will be back on collision when the next update for the multiplayer comes out.

There are always false positives on antivirus software. I can confirm that ETS2MP will not harm your PC if you get it from the correct source..
Make sure you've downloaded it from - http://alpha.ets2mp.com- It will be fine from there.
Indeed, some antivirusses may flag a file wrongly.
Always remove Norton, Norton is known to be a big security issue and is not recommended by many users, best use Avast Antivirus, install that, run it and see if it has picked up any trojans that Norton has allowed through.
Norton is pretty much one of the worst antivirus programs on the market, I personally use Kaspersky, but others like Avast work just as fine.

A solution if your game keeps crashing when loading up is to reinstall the mad, it worked for me.
