To the people saying how the speed limiter is good and how it reinforces "simulation":
1.) The entire reason there is a speed limiter on trucks in Europe is because the risk they pose to other motorists on a highway or road. Is that really the case in ETS2MP? How often do you see another player on the highway? Maybe, once every ten minutes? The only danger you pose when speeding in ETS2MP is to yourself and property -- and if that was the only danger in the real world, trucks would not be required to have an electronic speed limiter.
2.) It's a game. You can't simulate everything. Trucks don't easily turn over because they're not that top-heavy. Incandescent lights don't flicker like LED lights. Vehicle batteries aren't infinite. There are a number of things that aren't simulated in this game, and speed should not be one of them.
Also, telling people to go play Forza or something because they want speed is not a valid answer. Or telling them to play on EU 2 (because who the hell wants to play with no collision and less than 2,000 players of the population?).
