    Hello.
     
    First of all, the way your friend showed is probably for the old way. I think after 1.45 Local mod setup has changed a bit. 
     
    Now you need a file to install Local mode And this file is shared publicly only on certain servers. Finding these servers is actually not that hard. You can easily access this file by searching for a few simple words on Yotube.
     
    There is a tutorial channel that I know of, I suggest you take a look at the channel by clicking here.
