  1. Well I'm going to avoid any comment about server names for now until I've seen what the upcoming patch change to login screen looks like.

AFK - is an ongoing debate, in the longer term it will maybe depend how busy servers get.

And I do think that possibly the current Admin team numbers are not enough to cope with monitoring two busy servers, it never used to matter as freeroam but now it is getting important to have them available on both. There's only so much that each person can do.

  2. Seems like it might be a hard one to code in, but if it could be done then I'd have no objection at all - the only times I like the option of a bit more speed is when doing a job (=trailer) and have to do something soon in real life, I can at least finish it then. But without trailer, never need to go fast, it's only the short distances around towns and getting loads.

  3. Suggestion Name: Staff Team Change Updates

Suggestion Description: Would it be possible to create a new pinned thread in Development which can keep us informed about changes to the whole moderator/dev/staff team, both from recruitment / resignation and also promotion (and job changes I guess)?

Why should it be added?: I know that we can click at the bottom of the Forum to see a whole list of 'The Moderating Team', but for example recently there have been two recruitment campaigns for new support and moderating team members, but (unless I missed it) I never saw any announcement or thread about who had been successful, and what their roles would be. It would make it much easier to realise who had joined (and left) if a sticky thread could be made with an update each time there are changes.

    Examples:

Please welcome our new forum moderators, xxxxx and xxxxx, who will be strengthening the existing moderator team in keeping the forums running smoothly.

We would like to wish all the best in future to support member xxxxx, who has sadly had to leave us for personal reasons. Thanks for the great work xxxxx!

  4. Even with the old system the repairs would still cost 49k, and just as little chance anyway of the other user being punished as by time admin come to look it's all long in the past.

Only way to ensure 'justice' is to screen record (I use OBS) - doesn't have to be big files, medium quality is ok. But even then, nothing will restore the money it cost to repair, at least for now. Maybe one day there will be some kind of system where idiot driver has to pay compensation... but not at the moment.

  5. And just to add also, EU2 is not 90 limit... why not try that one with your group if you want a bit faster speeds.

I liked the idea of the company / drivers thing when I bought the game first, but then finding out that actually it was just names on a list, and you could never actually watch your own drivers doing a job in the custom painted truck you made for them, left me quite disappointed.

  6. I'd like to see a bit more of a difference between beam levels, but it's not something that I'm particularly bothered about either way.

Being able to see more easily when someone flashes lights at you would be a good improvement.

  7. It's set at 600ms now, probably about right considering server stats, worldwide playerbase, etc.

125ms would be way too low, half the users would be perma-kicked...  :)

  8. It has, and yes not a bad idea on the whole although of course I can also imagine how T. Roll might use that small window of opportunity to actually sneak inside someone else's truck just before spawning happened properly...

  9. Could it be PSU problems? Not caused by the card, the Nvidia uses much less power than the Radeon, but maybe just by age?

Did you add any memory / upgrade RAM round the same time? Or have you checked it for integrity recently?

Just a couple of thoughts... the exception code shown in log can be so many possibilities, it's hard to pin down.

  10. Trouble is that if you go more than a few hundred metres away from your own truck in flycam view you lose sight of other trucks, they disappear (despawn). And also after a few minutes of console view you get the dreaded "do something or we'll chuck you off" message.
