[[ANSWERED] [Dev] Launcher overhaul]

Hello! I'm wondering if there currently are any plans to completely overhaul and redesign the launcher with new features such as being able to choose which server you want to play on before entering the game or being able to log in from the launcher rather than in the game.

I think this should be added. 1.40 really only changes the lighting system and doesn't overhaul the entire grpahics system. The only problem I can see is keeping compatibility.

[Modernize TMP Launcher]

Suggestion Name: TMP Launcher Modernization

Suggestion Description: The TMP launcher hasn't been updated in a while. The only updates have actually been to the game itself. So I propose that we completely overhaul the look of the TMP launcher and make it more modern. Instead of having to login to play on TMP in the game itself, you just log in via the launcher, select which game you want, and then after that you can select the server. I also think that instead of a service status button, there can be a small thing indicating the status of the servers along with the button. I also think that the launcher should just be made larger with sort of a way to access the forums from the launcher (sort of similar to the Discord Overlay except not an overlay). finally, I think the glint from the version box and the buttons in the top right of the launcher should be removed. It doesn't look good imo.

Why should it be added?: TMP launcher just needs sort of a refresh (the backgrounds don't do it)

The cars are a menace/buggy anyway and most players don't even drive them. In other words - it won't be a big miss to turn them off for a while. 

 

"Why are you focusing on creating official events, instead of working on the new version?" - why indeed... There are no lasting benefits or good memories from participating in these anyway.

To answer your questions, 1. yes it is. Or at least, it's hard to find those interested in something like this. 2. I'm pretty sure a lot of mods use them so yes it would be. 3. Doesn't matter, they're part of a different team entirely.

[Command to reconnect to a server]

Suggestion Name: Reconnect to server command

Suggestion Description: A command like /connect or /reconnect  that you can use to rejoin the server if you are kicked

Why should it be added?: Some people will get kicked for being AFK, others, for other reasons. It's annoying to have to completely back out of the game and then reopen the game just to reconnect to a server. Having a simple command to reconnect to the server you were in could make it easier to get back in if you are AFK for too long.

Suggestion Description: Allowing mods that allow players to own pre-existing trailers

Why should it be added?: The files for the trailers are already in the game so all players will be able to see the trailer. This will give players the ability to choose what type of that trailer they want.
