  1. Server is always desync for me. When I connect in-game it sync for about 5 minutes and everyone disappear of my tab list/screen. While video is indeed a viable proof of evidence, it also take a lot of storage space. Like from what I said, a video recording of less than an hour of game-play take about 30gb of space and not all of the players have the luxury of recording their game play without massive fps loss. I only suggested this as a interim until the desync problem is solved where people have the chance of defending themselves when they get reported for ramming or blocking the road. Also for @megadethsteve666 because it will be a software add on, it should not strain the server however i'm no expert in this so i could be totally wrong. It will start the log when the player connects ingame and will store the log in their computer. Txt files don't get larger than 100mb for 7 days of log (this depend how long you play, but should not exceed 1 GB) . One possible option for this is to show a message that would say whether you are in sync with the server or not and use this as screenshot evidence, which would take less space, more convenient and should explain what had happen. Desync crashes are also distinct because when the person crash into you, their truck will also take damage and stop their tracks from moving for a few seconds, with desync, their truck will continue on moving as if they never hit something. I hope admins will take that into account when reviewing video evidence from players who report those who rammed into them as that will show. However, this is all an idea, so you can lock this thread or do as you wish. It's simply a suggestion and nothing else.
  2. How about make like a download add-on to the mod where it's not server based so it will not strain tracking 3500 players and it automatically records the collision log when you start the game? It is true text files can get "rather" larger but It's not going to reach 1 GB. In most instances it's not even going to get over 100mb. If that's still a problem to you, then it should get automatically deleted after 2 weeks. I know it's not that easy but what choice do we players have? I've been recording my game tonight and well it reached over 30gb for about less than an hour of video. Unless vehicle damage is disabled on the server mod, there's not much options for everyone.
  3. Suggestion Name: Collisions log file Suggestion Description: This suggestion is to allow the game to create a text log file that is stored on your computer when you connect in-game, this will record when your truck is moving and when it stops and also every time you crash into an object and the date and time of the log file and the server time. This can be used as evidence to report players, or used as counter-evidence when players report you for crashing into them. The benefits of this is that players no longer have to record there game-play (which can take storage space) to protect themselves when they are banned because of reasons like this and since text log files such as notepad files are not big file size it can be stored for longer time without inconvenience for the user. Admins can then compare this log file to the person who reported you to verify that the collision did happen and not by desync. For players who will say that, what if the person tampers of this evidence? Well to avoid that, this log file should be encrypted automatically and that only admins can decrypt it or this file is set to read-only. note; not aware if the mod has server time but would be best if that is added at the moment i just put the in-game time, when it reset after 24:00, it goes back to 00:00 and again. i hope this is in sync with everyone in the server. Any example images: I don't have an image example but I'll do it in text. ========================================================================== Abbreviations: L - Left side of the road R - Right side of the road UK roads Vehicle > (Right-side) (Shows vehicle direction) Vehicle < (Left-side) (Shows vehicle direction) EU roads Vehicle <- (Right-side) (Shows vehicle direction) Vehicle -> (Left-side) (Shows vehicle direction) On two lanes and three lanes road/highways it will only show one direction to where your truck should be. > User 1 has connected to EU 2 Server | 9:xx PM 1/10/2017 > Server time: 23:04 vehicle < moving L > Server time: 23:04 vehicle < moving L > Server time: 23:04 vehicle <- moving R > Server time: 23:04 vehicle <- moving R > Server time: 23:05 vehicle <- crashed into object > Server time: 23:05 vehicle <- stopped moving > User 1 has disconnected from EU 2 Server | 9:xx PM 1/10/2017 > User 2 has connected to EU 2 Server | 9:xx PM 1/10/2017 > Server time: 23:04 vehicle > moving R > Server time: 23:04 vehicle > moving R > Server time: 23:04 vehicle <- moving L > Server time: 23:04 vehicle <- moving L > Server time: 23:04 vehicle -> moving R > Server time: 23:05 vehicle -> crashed into object > Server time: 23:05 vehicle -> stopped moving > User 2 has disconnected from EU 2 Server | 9:xx PM 1/10/2017 ========================================================================== Why should it be added?: I'm suggesting this for a good reason, the server is always out of sync and it's a big problem for everyone. Most of the time it I find myself is driving where there are no players near me but other players report that I am not moving or blocking the road or crashing into them in their view and so something like this is useful to defend yourself from such accusations when you get reported/banned because of this bug and also when ever I record my game it takes most of my storage space and the file itself is big meaning I can't keep it forever, maybe 2 days and not all of the players record their game or can predict when an incident happen so this is definitely a useful thing for everyone. This is only a suggestion, you admins can make changes to this if you implement it to something better but this is my idea.
