No need for it. What features would it bring? What's the difference between the current car and this proposed one?

Well, you could say the same thing about the current trucks in this game.

    @Luxray

    I was on my phone...

EP was once a Collision Zone by accident from a update and was blocked off by Admins till it was fixed, bypass them in any way was Banable, maybe you where not on around that time but it has been less than a year. I cant find any of the topics, and cant be bothered to search for them as i have over a hour worth of video for reports to crawl threw (literally, for 2 hours i've been at it for 3 so far and not halfway...)

I know what you meant, but that still doesn't have anything to do with this. EP isn't blocked off, it's still accessible if you have a truck and a trailer.

I disagree. A kick is enough for someone to think twice. If they think and continue, then a ban.

Likewise, if the wrong person is kicked - it's not too bad. But if the wrong person is banned, that's their game ruined for 2 hours while they get a ban appeal sorted. Which has happened in a past where the wrong person was banned.

Kick first. Followed by 2 hour ban. Followed by a day ban. etc... In my opinion. Obviously, it's the admins discretion on how to deal with each individual.

Likewise while I'm on this - there really needs to be a way for you to dispute a kick/ban in game with the person that did it. If I get kicked/banned I should be able to respond to it. If it's a mistake, I can tell them and they can re-think. I shouldn't have go give evidence that I did nothing wrong later on, on the website that will be looked at later on in life when the issue has already been and gone.

And if that's used to give abuse to the admin - ban doubled :P. Admins do good work. But are human too and mistakes can happen. But be nice to actually have a way to avoid these mistakes hurting the gameplay longterm.

I know a kick should go first, but this never happens in game. I did drive into EP with my car and due to excitement I didn't read all the rules, but I received an immediate 2 hour ban, not a kick.

  4. People STILL don't get it.

    ''why dont u behave''

We DO behave, can't you read? It's just that admins ban for the slightest things which feeds our ban history. They're not banning the trolls, but the whole playerbase.

  5. I know what you mean, but you fail to understand my point of view.

A ban is not a warning, because nothing follows after a ban. Name something that follows a ban/permanent ban?

Second, why are you assuming everyone who has been warned to continue misbehaving? Some people don't know about certain rules, so if admins warn them about it, they can learn from it, before getting banned immediately.

''because nothing follows after a ban'' - incase you still do not understand:

This is how a procedure as admin should be:

    warn > kick > ban

Now, according to you, it should be:

    ban

As you can see, nothing happens after the ban, this indicates that it's a punishment, and not a warning.

  6. ^ It's not about his history, it's about that he got banned for basically doing nothing wrong. The guy had to cross the white line a bit, so he wouldn't be stuck with his trailer against the corner. He did cut a corner afterwards, but there was noone waiting and he had the right of way anyway, this doesn't deserve an immediate ban.

Ban's shouldn't be considered as a warning, mainly because there's nothing that gets worse than a ban. Why won't admins give any warnings to let a guy know he's doing something wrong? Why does he have to be banned immediately?

Players DO try to follow the rules, but admins ban for the slightest thing (this feeds their ban history and each admin gives a different ban length, which shouldn't happen, everyone needs to be treated fairly in the end), like I said earlier. Don't compare this to real life, it's completely different and irrelevant.

Can you come up with any other argument please? It has been repeated three times now.

First and foremost, the amount of bans a user has does not indicate wether one is willing to behave or not. Admins can ban things for the slightest reasons, which hurt noone, like in my situation, not to mention those are easily solvable by a chat filter or swear warning system, but for some reason they are unable to implement it only because Truckdriver said no. Second, a ban is not a vacation, it's a punishment, you need to get that out of your head. Third, this is partially the same as the first one, admins ban for the slightest things. According to you, everyone who has been banned or is banned is a troll, since you support the current system. Look at post #240 in this topic: https://forum.ets2mp.com/index.php?/topic/25751-changes-to-the-ban-process/page-12According to you, this guy is a troll, since he got banned, but what you fail to see, he didn't do anything wrong (situations like these happen more often), his driving may look a bit dangerous, but he did not ram, block or cut off anyone on purpose, he didn't even hit anyone at all, so why is this guy a troll? Can you enlighten me?

  8. @Scarface,

School work for example is completely different, it is way more important than playing police in an online video game.

    I have a few suggestions for this matter;

    1) Open moderator applications (I believe your team consists of about 80 people*, that's a low number for a playerbase of 3000+ players at a time)

    2) Divide admins into groups, and have them focus on 1 job. For example; there's a group that reads and answers ban appeals*. A group that handles reports etc.

*(1): I had a look at the ETS2 MP Team topic, and 80 people is my guess.

*(2): A different admin than the one who banned him should review ban appeals, because it should be from neutral point of view and the evidence has to be good enough. The key part is that the evidence should be convincing others of ones deeds.

  9. ^ Noone has ever stated that they wanted to keep the trolls. The thing is, few of the banned players like the game, and have no intention of trolling, yet admins class them as a troll (a troll deliberately tries to ruin someone's experience). For example, the guy in the video above, should not be called a troll, since there is no evidence of him deliberately ruining one's experience; he does not ram into anyone straight on, does not cut them off and does not stand still to block traffic. His driving style might not be appropriate, but this in no way indicates him as a troll, and he should not be banned this long for it.

TL;DR - People asked to ban trolls, not the regular players who try to be as realistic as possible.

  10. ^ (I can't believe we're not allowed to use an actual popular forum feature, the quote #bringbackquotes)

Hold on a minute, 170 on a highway? Noone on earth thinks this will end well in any situation. Also, to be fair, in Europe (or in the Netherlands atleast) it's not illegal to stay on the left lanes, but it's recommended not to do so and you can get pulled over to be warned. All you had to do was honk your horn, flash your fog lights or ask in chat for them to move (this probably wouldn't work since, well, 170km/h?)

  11. I did not say that it was not an insult. You're both taking the wrong context. One person must be extremely (couldn't express it hard enough) sensitive in order to feel offended by the word idiot. It's just not worth a perm ban. You do not tell me that you have never called someone either of words in earlier posts.

TL;DR: At this rate, the playerbase will eventually ''die'' because of the amount of harsh punishments for the lightest things.
