I have had this problem before but so I am familiar with it. What you need to do is make sure you are not joining a massive Simulation server like 1 or you can but stay away from heavily densilated areas because my ping goes sky rocketing when I go through because the vast amount of people. I have also found if you have a VPN you can swap over to a different country and that sometimes helps depending where you are located.
