In reality it is to make the keyboard use case more viable, it creates a progressbar wich you can fill up to set your brake to a certain percentage, it makes it somewhat more immersive and way easier to stop a traffic signs or when you need small adjustments
Edit: Since it's a overlay normal screencapture softwares won't capture it, so I took a picture with my phone.
I've been developing a OMSI like breaking system to ETS2 and it envolves a virtual joystick and hooking to the game DirectX overlay engine. I would like to know if it's safe to run it on the ets2mp servers, the code is open source and can be found here
