Could not validate game version

Hello there fellow truckers, I have just tried to play my ETS2MP for the first time and it says "Could not validate game version" Please could you help me wiht this.

Are you definitely validating ETS2 and NOT ETS2MP (That you may have added as a non-steam link) - Also if you are having validation issues, you may find that changing your version of ETS2 to a beta and then back may re-download the broken parts.

You can do this as follows - 

"Right click on 'Euro Truck Simulator 2' > Select 'Properties' > Go to the 'BETAS' Tab > In the Drop Down Menu Select "Public_Beta - 1.22 Public beta" and allow it to download then follow the step again except for this time (once download is FULLY done) select "NONE - Opt out of all beta programs" and then allow it to download! 

 

Once you have done this you should have no validation issues and should be able to play fine!

Hey epicxgaming1,

 

I too had this issue earlier and to fix it you need to boot up ETS2MP and when it says "Could not validate game version, do you want to try again", click 'yes' and the game should boot straight up.

 

Hopefully this should resolve your issue, if this does not work, I will look into it further.

Can you please check your Antivirus software if it is blocking the ETS2MP connections?

Re-install the multiplayer mod and then run ets2mp as admin.
