Connection refused. Someone is already playing with that SteamID

I can't log in to the server and the message "Connection refused. Someone is already playing with that SteamID" appears. What do I need to do to join the server again?

This is a known TMP bug. More info can be seen a this post.

There are two possible explanations to this issue:
1) there is somebody else who's using your Steam account. In that case you'd need to change your passwords (Steam and TMP) in order to lock out the intruder.
However, if that were the case, you should see your game being played in your Steam profile and its playtime rising.

What I consider more likely:
2) Your connection to the server has not been cleanly broken when you last logged out of the game, and you're stuck on the server now.
Your best bet is to wait for the servers to restart so your connection to the server gets reset. There's nothing you can do about it yourself to break the connection now, I'm afraid.

Enter your TruckersMP ID into the search function of the player map (https://map.truckersmp.com/) to find yourself stuck in one spot on Simulation 1, close to Calais.
Is this the place where you last logged out of the game /  got kicked from the server?
