The way to fix this is:
Step 1.
Right click your 'Euro Truck Simulator 2 Multiplayer' / 'American Truck Simulators Multiplayer' .exe file, whether it be the shortcut on the desktop or actual file and then click properties.Step 2.
If you right clicked it's shortcut, make sure you clicked the shortcut tab.
If you clicked the .exe file, make sure you are on the general tab.
You should see a section say: ( Target: "C:\Program Files\TruckersMP\launcher_ets2mp.exe" ) OR it's custom install path. (Minus the brackets)
What you need to do is on the end of it, add: ( -homedir C:\Users\Michael\Documents\ETS2MP )
It should look something like: ( Target: "C:\Program Files\TruckersMP\launcher_ets2mp.exe" -homedir C:\Users\Michael\Documents\ETS2MP ) If you understand what the -homedir fuction does, feel welcome to change it, if you are worried or don't know what to do, just leave it as it is. Please Follow this step's:
1-) Go to Documents and Delete the ETS2MP Folder
2-) Press the Windows Key + R (Win+R) on your keyboard
3-) Enter "%programdata%" and press Enter (Without the quotes)
4-) Find the folder "TruckersMP" and delete that folder.
5-) Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher"
6-) And, go to re/download this launcher here: https://truckersmp.com/download
Basically, you have to go to Steam - Library - Right click on Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Properties - Local data - verify integrity.
Wait until the game files are verifyed and try whether the error still occurs.

1. Update your graphic drivers
2. Give your GPU a slight overclock(if you had bad cooling system, do not try this!)
3. Boost your PC with an optimization tool
4. Switch out that old HDD and get yourself an SSD
5. Turn off Superfetch and Prefetch
6. Defrag & TRIM your hard disk for faster access
7. Tweak your Intel, AMD or NVIDIA Control Panels
8. Optimise game settings

Click "File"
Click "Export"
Save the file somewhere safe (eg. on your desktop) as a backup
Once saved, double click on "Enabled"
Set "Value data" to "0" (without the quotes)
Press OK
Close Registry editor and reboot

To get started, open up the TruckersMP Data directory: C:\ProgramData\TruckersMP\data. This is where the UI files are stored and need to be edited to create your own UI 'pack'. There are 3 folders inside the data folder. American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 have separate directories, named ats an ets2, allowing you to create a unique UI for each game if you wish to. The 3rd is a shared folder which all games use.
