    At the discretion of developers.

this one tears me apart. i like the idea of being able to provide a little funding for the project, but i am not willing to be charged 5 dollars per month. once is fine, i can handle that. but repeatedly, then it sounds like a money grab. ill give it +1 but without the subscription aspect. get a patreon if you want monthly funding from players

  2. i'm torn on it. having a seperate command...not entirely useful. BUT if i put my tuck in a non collision zone, then i shouldnt get kicked for being away. unless server load is in excess of say 80% or something. so overall going to go +1 on it

  3. I disagree with this, although I do agree in doing something about the AFK kick system as it's unforgiving in how it kicks.

I think a better way and less frustrating way to improve how it works would be creating zones where it's acceptable to go AFK, such as truck stops, services or fuel stations if it was possible. The reason the servers are the way they are in regards to how many are online is due to the how the system can't tell the difference between someone who is legitimately not moving so they can block a road as opposed to someone who is parked at a truck stop not in anyones way.

Not only would the AFK kick system still exist. It would remove those that are blocking roads in the game, while allowing us as much time as we need to do whatever it is we need to do when we go AFK at truck stops etc. If someone knows they're going to be longer than an hour or two then they'll turn their PC off or they'll waste electric and have to literally pay for doing so; meaning no one would 'waste' a spot on the server.

Returning it back to the old way that we used to be able to reconnect to the server if we got disconnected would be more than enough to fix this as well. I have no why it was changed, but I have a feeling it might have been due to how quickly you could reconnect and some people were abusing it to spawn inside other players - if that was the reason, why not make abusing it to spawn inside another players truck a bannable offence? The heavy handed approach will definitely dissuade people from doing it.

the server can easily tell if you are in a non collision zone, thats where i say afk kick should be disabled. its no collision, not affecting anything except a few peoples frame rates. at the very least they should add the option for a reconnect to server after being kicked for afk so that i dont have to close and reopen the game

The developers need to have an apple mac in order to do this, unfortunately this is way to expensive and the little money we get, we are investing in better servers / hosts.

Maybe in the future, who knows,

do they need a mac? i think they should look very deeply into releasing the source code of the mod so that those with a mac and the programming knowledge could do the port for them. then they could spend more time working on new features and let the community handle porting these new features to the other platforms. sure it would cause a little fragmentation, but it would be better than what they have right now where the game supports three platforms and this awesome fun mod only supports one.

  5. There's a thread some where that have the same topic idea; will close this thread within  10 hours

the fact that there are so many threads to support mac and linux should be a sign to the developers that maybe they should take their heads out of microsoft's butt and actually work on it instead of just twidling their thumbs
