Completely unnecessary in my opinion as it would be obviously impossible to keep track of and test out the millions of players across the project.

[Can't launch game at all anymore.]

First of all, I am sorry to hear that you have issues with launching your game.

 

I will try to help you with a solution that helped me recently to fix a similar issue.

Before anything though, make sure that your graphic card and sound drivers are up to date, and do not skip this step thinking it is irrelevant.

Only then, go to C:\Users\---\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2 and launch config.cfg with Notepad or any similar text editing application. Press Shift + F or simply manually find the field that reads uset cf_asus_aura "1" and change the value from 1 to 0.

[Cant open the game]

The windows profile you are using to launch the executable most likely does not have admin privileges. Try creating a new user for your windows with admin privileges and try to launch the game executable again or ensure admin privileges to your current user.
