-1 Safety first! There might be people abusing the horn by "greeting" everyone they meet, but the horn has saved me several times from accidentally bumping into someone while eating a snack

Suggestion Name: Localization and translation for the Chinese Language.
Suggestion Description: Translate the rules to Chinese for availability to our Chinese drivers.
Any example images: N/A
Why should it be added?:To describe in-game and forum rules to the Chinese community (I fear most do not obey the traffic regulations of Europe), as they have their own driving style in China (No insults intended, I'm Chinese too!) for the server to be a better place around the time period when there's not much people (And perhaps most times in the daytime.I may also contribute to the localizations, as I'd love to help the community
Thanks for taking your time to read my proposal,
Regards,
Ken

By too much work, I meant both for coding and for administration to issue the commands while in gameplay, in case nobody knew
-
The API might also not recognize ramming because of coding issues and all that, such as how if you ram someone you don't get fined, like in single players.

-1. It seems that the multiplayer is getting more and more pampered with small add-ons to trucking.
Some features are just not needed at all. You can park safely without doing any of those things. Make the truck a "No Collision Truck?" That's not realistic. I doubt the administration would allow that, as they try to make the game as realistic as possible (Mention the "no auto park") Just park on the emergency lanes, and if you hit someone just accept your fate like the truckers in real life do.
-
That would cause too much work for the admins, not even considering the amount of work they get already. The system is also very confusing, and I don't believe it would affect many people until the last star.

How may one apply for localization? I am bilingual, fluent with English and Chinese, and would love to contribute to localizing and translating the forum into chinese, as I see that not much was translated before. Driving late night (for me, GMT -7) is dominant with chinese truckers, and I would love to break a message to them about all the rules they would need to follow.

Translation on step 4 please...

It is fully opted out, yet it still happens to have this message. I'm thinking it has something to do with my Christmas paint DLC (as the event is over?)
-
After I have successfully reinstalled the client, and installed the new version. Opted out of all beta, and ran 1.16.2, this message still shows up when i try to run the mod. I have tried to reinstall the client many times. My Directory: Disk C/ Program files(x86) /Steam/ Steamapps/ Common/ Euro Truck Simulator 2
This still doesn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The version of the mod right now supports only 1.16.2 ; Go on steam, Right click ETS2, select properties, click on betas, and in the list, select NONE - opt out of all beta programs to run it.

Senpai notice me!
+1 seriously, It'd also be a shame if someone reported you for that :{
-
+1 from me,this will stop the actions of most people (I'd say) from running red lights. Someone from yesterday (I don't remember his name) threatened to report me at an intersection because I rammed him (he came in while my side was green his was red)
-
It can't. The modding is usually done in single player mode, and when you transfer it to multiplayer, a "cheat detector" will assume you earned that money right off the bat in single player. I know a mod that gives you 1000000 dollars every time you buy a truck; it would be almost impossible to code that in.You're right... There is too many people who use cheats what is really sad. I forgot to mention that leaderboards would help to easily recognize people who use cheats, but that's only what I think.

-1 There's a reason why there's a name on top of a truck. So you can quickly identify tanners and trollers after they hit you. If this was added, trollers might be even more common, and you'd be hitting yourself after a rammer blocked/trolled you. Also, F9 F10 and F11 work fine too.

Yes, I've uninstalled the old release before re-installing
EDIT: The client is working now!!! Thanks guys~

'Installed everything but when I launch multiplayer I get a message saying 'Your Client protocol version does not match with server'.
I understand this was in the "Common Problems" pinned post in the help section, but when I tried to fix the problem, it still gave me the message. I've redownloaded multiplayer many times, however I'm still getting the same message. Is there something in the new version I have to do in order for the mp to work other than the old installation steps? Do I HAVE to get the snow mod....? Or.....
Please help, any suggestion in this thread will be appreciated ^^

EU3 is going to be added next update, you need luck and a bottle of beer now to come in one EU1.

SpeedTest by Ookla only tests your ping to the nearest server possible. If you are farther from the server, the slower the packets will be transferred, so your ping will be higher. Eg. If you live in Europe, then the ping you receive in the EU servers will be low, if you're somewhere else, say, somewhere in Japan, the ping will be high as you are farther away from the host server. Go on their Alternative www.Pingtest.net and select a European server to see your legitimate ping to the host server.

This shouldn't be implemented at all.
Not in the case of rammers, but in legitimate, accidental crashes are you also going to use this technique to "dodge" the so called "rams?" If someone hits you, just accept your fate. There are trolls in every single game, not just MP. It makes the game unrealistic. A "perfect" no damage record is what most people long for, but I'm seeing this will change the entire game. It takes the fun out of the game, and practically seem like you are driving in MP offline mode, since you won't have any probability of crashing into other truckers. If so, why not just play in Offline MP?
I recall the developers shutting down the Auto-park system because of its unrealistic-ness. This is going way too far-fetched, comparing to the auto-park
