SCS Blog
Last year on this date we released a blog post celebrating the 7th anniversary of Euro Truck Simulator 2. It feels like it hasn't been that long since we wrote that article, and yet here we are with another year passed, milestones reached, tons of content created and another anniversary to celebrate. While the world experiences a difficult time, we know that many of you use Euro Truck Simulator 2 as an escape from reality to relax. Euro Truck Simulator 2 is celebrating its 8th Year Anniversary today! It has been an amazing ride and we could not have wished for better co-drivers than you are, our dear #BestCommunityEver Stay on the roads with us cause we have plenty of cool things coming!— SCS Software (@SCSsoftware) October 19, 2020On the 18th of October 2012, Euro Truck Simulator 2 was released to the world. Since then, it truly has been an amazing ride from the very first km in our in-game world, and we definitely could have not wished for a better community.Even though the world is currently going through a challenging period, we wanted to take a few minutes of our time to say thank you to our #BestCommunityEver for all the wonderful support, for being our motivation and for helping us make our games even better as time goes on. And because we are in a celebration mood, we thought it would be nice and appropriate to "reward" you with a slice of the birthday cake. Hence we decided to show you something yet unrevealed, still in a pre-alpha stage, but already cool and promising. A few screenshots from the next map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2, which is already in the making and planned to be the next release after Iberia! How do you like them? Do you have an idea on the location of these shots? For now, we can't share any more info with you as we have switched our focus back to Iberia, but know that we will bring you more info about this project in the future!Happy 8th Anniversary!View the full article 1 Hurr durr I'm a bot *beep*

Positivetrucking168
Seeing the Cyrillic, you could tell that this is a plan to create a "Going Further East" DLC expansion, and I am certainly looking forward to see how this will shape the gameplay experience of ETS2 going into late 2021 and beyond. Unnamed User
This is, as @Positivetrucking168 said, somewhere on the east. The Cyrylic and climate is similiar to Ukraine, Belarus. I can't wait for it.
Granite [SVK]
I think Ukraine alone will suffice for two DLCs, let alone coupled with Belarus, it's twice as large as whole Iberia. It's either Belarus only, or western half of Ukraine only, it could as well be some Russian territory adjacent to already mapped area, possibly south of it. Guest
Why do everyone thinks it's belarus-ukraine?

The climate is similar to the eastern Slavic countries (Russia, Belarus, Ukraine). On some pictures you can also see the Ukrainian pedestrian crossing sign. First picture features old rusty Lada, other one is parked next to green building on pic #8, overall architecture and look suggest it, for example black and white painted curbs and concrete block barriers, like seen on the pictures, are common for the area. Also you can see signs written in russian or belarusian that translate as "produkt" or "bank".

Why would it be Ukrainian? This sign looks almost identical in most of Europe, and the reflective yellow trim around it is also not exclusively seen only in Ukraine. What's more interesting, it's that empty car transporter on pic #8, haven't seen that one in traffic, or maybe I don't play singleplayer too often lately. Unnamed User
Now I've checked how Ukrainian and Belarusian pedestrian crossing sign and they seem to look the same as on the image. So it's Belarusian or Ukrainian pedestrian cross sign. And yes, the reflective trim is also seen in other countries.
