Teleport problem

Hello! I tried to teleport in single-player. I typed in the console goto "city" and when i press F11 it shows me this.. but i can't teleport. Any suggestions ?

To teleport in Singleplayer do goto "City Name" into the console, whenever it's done use the flycam to fly where u wanna spawn in the teleported location and then press F9 to spawn yourself there where you teleported yourself too.

thanks for sharing your problem,

If you use the console you must put the command [go_to_], for each space you must put a [bar below (_)]

 

an example: go_to_calais

and you hit the [enter] key and that's it

 

with this you can teleport to the cities, [this does not work in multiplayer mode]

Default key for teleport is F9 - after using "goto" command, you will need to positon camera using numpad arrow keys very close to the ground or above any structuce you want to land on, because pressing F9 will spawn your truck wherever the camera is, be it high in the air, or below ground. After pressing F9 you will still be in free flying camera mode, pressing key for cabin view (1 by default) will put you back inside the truck ( this feature does not function in multiplayer).

F11 is used to log map coordinates for bug reports, by default.

To teleport in Singleplayer, you can go into Freecam (0), go to the location you want to be spawned, and press F9. F11 allows you, to report map bugs, missing objects, or misplacement.

Well..i found out what the problem was.. my F9 key doesn't work anymore.. can you actually change this key to something else ?

You can only change it by modifying  "controls.sii" file located inside you profile folder.

 

Search for this line:

 

config_lines[382]: "mix teleport `keyboard.f9?0`"

 

I have replaced mine with this, and it works for one of the extra mouse buttons:

 

config_lines[382]: "mix teleport `mouse.button_4?0`"

 

You must be careful what you type in, if you enter something invalid, or key that is already used for something else, it can reset whole config to default, so better back it up first. 

If you cant't find any suitable key you can try to swap actions mapped to F9 and F10 keys, though you won't be able to take screenshots then, if your F9 key is broken:

 

 config_lines[126]: "mix screenshot `keyboard.f10?0 | semantical.screenshot?0`"

But , can't i delete the config with the screenshot on f10? because i can take one with F12 aswell.. It did work when switching to F10

^ Actually, if you use the key, which is already used by other function will make the key activate both functions at the same time. For instance, if you modify the controls.sii file to bind the H key to use flash horn and the normal one, if you press the mentioned key in-game, both horns will go off at once. If there's issue with controls.sii file, the profile won't be loaded and the error will be displayed in developer console.

Ok, so i can't unbind the F10 key ( for instance to be bind just to teleport ) to do just one action because the profile will not load, right ?

As I mentioned, if you have already bound different function to one key while assigning it to another, both will activate all at once after pressing the assigned key. The scenario, where the profile won't load will only occur if you made a mistake while editing controls.sii file, such as syntax error - it's always a good idea to make backup of the file before modifying the original one, so in case if that scenario ever occurs, you'll be able to revert any changes.
