Incompatible save! ATS

I've been playing on the 1.38 beta and now I want to play MP. It says the game version needs to be 1.37 in order for me to play. I downgrade. I start it up and get to the saves page. When I get there, all of the saves say "Incompatible save!". Now I can only play on the beta. Is there any way for me to downgrade and still keep my progress?

Hello @Privvet,

The saves of a new version can not be loaded by the older version. You may find an autosave game in the save loading screen that has been made in the old version and that you can load to play in multiplayer.

Hello there and welcome to the forums, i hope i will be able to help you out.

 

This method should work and is pretty easy/safe to do:

-Just try to use an older autosave made by the game when trying to join the multiplayer

 

Another method (which i'm not 100% certain if it works/is safe) would be going to your ATS folder, which is usually located in C:\Users\<your user name>\Documents\American Truck Simulator

and delete the folder called "profiles" and also the folders called "profiles(1.38......).bak"

However, i would recommend making a backup/copy of those folders
