Change nick color - fatal error

When trying to change the color of the tag from the base blue, after clicking on the blue square to choose the color throws me to the desktop throwing 'game crash fatal error'.  Has anyone met and knows how to fix it?  I don't like blue color ...

Try launching TruckersMP, and click which game you'd like to play.

 

 

Go to the login screen:

 

 

 

 

Click the TOP LEFT, "cog" Settings icon, and click Player TAG, and try changing it their. And then you can continue to launch your game and play.

 

Let me know if this fixes your issue.

Run the game in DirectX 11 mode by going to your steam, click Play now on ETS2 and choose DirectX 11. Close that, then load up Truckersmp and it should load up in DirectX 11 mode and you should be able to change your player tag colour without it crashing your game.

@JamesS014 - the same situation

@KangaRooooKanga - on DX11 my game didn't start, I need to use OpenGL, so that "idea" will not work.

Hello @Barnaba123,

 

This is, I think, a pretty well known bug at the moment, but you can still change your tags color by going into "C: > This PC > Documents > ETS2MP > config.txt" under "tag_color" (keep in mind that the colors are entered as "Decimal" numbers!). There also is a Forum Topic about it that may help you out a little more:
