Game freeze with DirectX11 when tabbing out

When starting the game with DirectX11 and then tabbing out of the window, it often happens to freeze the game when tabbing back in.

One can still hear the truck sounds, but the screen doesn't move at all. The only fix is to close and restart the game.

 

This issue does not occur when using OpenGL.
