Suggestion Name: Synchronising Weather with ability to toggle on/off

Suggestion Description: Many people want weather to be synchronised right? But there's a minority that don't as well, what about having synchronised weather but the ability to turn it on/off for those with low-end PCs or who dont like rain.

Any example images: 

 

Why should it be added?: It would add to the realism/simulation that TruckersMP is wanting, and it would be quite nice to have synchronised weather, plus people who don't like it can turn it off.

It's a good suggestion, I like it. I guess that will make the game more ralism in the MP side. Sometimes is boring that I have raining and the other player doesn't have. Hope itt will be added.

It would be great to have this. The possibility to disable the weather is good for those which computers can't handle the weather or simply don't want to be bothered with rain.

It would also be fabulous if the weather is synchronized with the real wheater of that region.

i agree as well.. problem is.. they already tryed and faild.. weather can not be synced as far as i know based on the last time they tryed.. i hope they explain it if they answer this thread..

I would just like to add the following: that it should synchronize with the region that is configured on the main site, thus getting the region's weather updated from the internet.

It's a good idea, but the rain causes lag and needs to be examined so that other players don't have dropping fps, road crashes

Whilst I can see the appeal of this, the times in which you want to have rain synchronised are often when you're driving with someone, so you could easily "sync" the weather by both using a console command at the same time. Therefore, I still think this has merits, but I don't think it's going to be a game changing experience.

That's probably why the suggestion includes the possibility to turn it on or off, so if weather causes lag to a player, he can turn it off easily.

It is a good point that it would put additional load onto the servers, however.

I don't know how that work's, I'm just saying this from how I know the game works: I think it wouldn't put a load in the server as the weather is managed by the player machine. Like the server only would have to tell the game that the weather is rain, and the game would process it, like the time, all players time is based on the server time.

 

But it probably it isn't that simple. If it was, I believe the developers would already have done it.

+1 To this suggestion. I think that it will be great so we all will have the same conditions when driving (also we will see the wipers on other players). Obviously, the player that doesn't want the rain because of PC performance or another reason/s he/she will be able to deacivate.
