Black Wolf Harmful
Good night my shooting companions. Come here to discuss a little about the need to close highways for one conwoy, do you think this action is necessary? We will discuss and publish the opinions. Reese - Use Caution
I'm a little lost on what you mean. Do I think we need to close the train crossing for a train? Well, the train has collision, so we'd get destroyed if the train hit us without closing the barriers. So yes, we need to close the tracks off. oscxrz
The train itself is no collision, but do you not think it would be quite unrealistic if there was no barrier and we all just kept driving through the tracks as the train was coming past. I’m not 100% sure whether you are on about the train crossing on C-D or not, please do confirm.

Survivor3411
I don't like the idea of closing certain sections of highway for convoys. If I am on the same route as a convoy then either I have to turn off to find an alternate route which takes time or sit waiting, doing nothing while the convoy passes through that section of highway. I think that could be the topic?
James
Hello You aren't allowed to block/control traffic even in a convoy. You simply drive with your friends/supporters. If it's a public event, it will have Convoy Control on a custom server meaning there are custom rules, who can block roads etc. But in regards to your comment, I think closing roads unnecessarily isn't a good idea. Kind Regards JamesS014
Chrizzle
You can block the road but when anyone report you than are you banned. Have a nice day. Chrizzle
Guest
Ideally you neither want to be blocking or closing off the road what so ever however, a pilot needs to give a convoy safe passage. The whole idea of a pilot car is to keep the convoy moving, to keep it controlled along with the flow of other traffic. And if on a single or smaller road like within a city then the pilot could stop the traffic for a short time until the convoy is clear of a specific area, for example if the convoy is leaving the service station after meeting up or re-grouping. The thing is that the road needs to be clear in order for the pilot to block off the road, if it isn't then the pilot needs to wait until the traffic heading towards from either one or both directions have cleared the way for them to pull out and cover the convoy. If the convoy is on the motorway or highway then it is a different kettle of fish. In some cases you have more than two lanes, so it should be fine to block off one lane to the flow of traffic and make sure the traffic flows to the left or right of you by merging into Lane 2 Or lane 3. On/off ramps should be covered, a pilot could move ahead of a convoy and at the start of an on or off ramp where one section of a highway joins another the pilot could hold at the start of it and temporarily block off passage either to the convoy thus making them merge to lane 2 or 3, and pass the pilot with the second pilot having merged into either lane before hand they would then effectively be over taking the lead pilot while they are allowing traffic already joining the highway to merge into lane 1. Or, the lead pilot is blocking off lane 1 where the convoy would be joining another section of highway via an on / off ramp. There is no need to close an entire stretch of road, however it depends on the size of the convoy and the route(s) they are taking. Pilot drivers may need to hold in one position for longer while the convoy moves through, because when in a convoy it is imperative that the convoy is kept moving no matter what. Caramba2412
Hey . It's best if you don't block the roads or anything, because it usually results in a penalty. Unless it is an official event and tmp employees are blocking the way. Regards! Greetings, Caramba2412 TruckersMP Support Team Leader
Interstate Nomad
@Black Wolf Harmful, My advise to you is to not block any moving traffic not involved in your convoy, as it would be a punishable violation of the rules.
[TC-LOG.BR] SIQUEIRA - MT
Depending on the size of the Convoy for example above 50 trucks there is a need to close a highway
FernandoCR [ESP]
^^ A convoy properly managed has no need for road blocks, no matter how many vehicles are in it. Blocking roads just so the convoy doesn't have to stop to other traffic will most likely end up with someone banned. Some players seem to think that convoys have priority over other players, but that's plainly wrong. Keep distances, steady and reasonable speeds. Have planned stops along the route, to regroup or simply to have a small break. If some of the vehicles have to stop for whatever reasons (red light, e.g.) the others can simply drive slower for a while so the ones who stopped can catch up easier, no need for blocking the road or running the red lights. Smacky.
Hey there, You are not permitted to block roads if you're having a convoy on one of our public servers; however, if you qualify for having one of our events servers then you can block the highway's or other roads at your will. Blocking roads on the public servers will simply leave you with a punishment from the 'Game Moderation Team'. I hope this helps Thanks Smacky.
