Greetings, truckers!

With Winter now behind us, it's time to heat up the roads with the return of our official Racing Championship!

CLICK HERE TO VIEW RESULTS IN REAL-TIME

POSTER

Unfortunately, we were unable to host the series during the Winter period, however, our most competitive TruckersMP event will be making a return in just a few days!

The racing championship series sees hundreds of truckers attending, each bringing their experience behind the wheel to reach for the prestigious golden title - Racing Champion.

As well as a lot of high-speed action, we see a lot of spin-outs, crashes, jumps, and drifting throughout our tracks. Sounds exciting? Keep on reading...

For Spring 2020, we will be visiting a variety of European countries throughout the weekend, including; Austria, France, Italy, and the Netherlands!

Note: The races will take place across both Saturday 14th March and Sunday 15th March.

You must be available for BOTH dates to enter!

Saturday 14th March | Qualifiers

The first day will consist of drag races, with eight players competing in each race. The day will be dedicated to qualifying for the Spring 2020 championship. Here are the requirements and instructions on how to enter:

  • Be available from 15:30 UTC - Click here for more timezones. (The first drag race starts at 16:00 UTC. The event is expected to run for two-three hours).
  • Able to understand English (to read event instructions).
  • Connect to the Racing Championship Spring 2020 server.
  • Ensure your truck is fully fuelled, serviced, and prepared for racing.
  • Meet up in Amsterdam city centre, where you will be greeted and provided further instructions.

Please ensure you're familiar with the event rules before participating!

Eight players will be selected in a random order to compete in a drag race. How many players qualify depends on how many players attend. For example, if 96 players compete, only half will qualify, meaning the fastest 4 of 8 from each race will qualify.

After all of the races are concluded, the fastest 48 players will qualify for the Championship taking place the next day.

The server will remain online throughout the entire weekend, and we welcome qualified players to practice on the tracks ready for the Racing Championship on Sunday.

If you didn't qualify, there may still be an opportunity! Should a qualified player not turn up on Sunday, we will randomly select a participant from Saturday, should you be online.

Sunday 15th March | Championship

For everyone who qualified for the championship, this will be your big day! There are a lot of unique and challenging tracks prepared, ready for our 48 qualifiers to put their racing skills to the test.

If you qualified, please ensure you are online from 15:30 UTC (the first race starts at 16:00 UTC, and the event is expected to run for up to four hours).

Here's a quick overview of what to expect!

Preparation

The main meetup will be in Amsterdam city centre, as previously. Shortly before the first race begins qualified players and spectators will be teleported to the first track.

There will not be an opportunity to practice on the tracks from hereon.

Round 1

ROUND1

Taking place in the narrow streets of Paris, our 48 qualifiers will be put to the test as they navigate around (or through!) tricky roundabouts.

Round 2 - Quarter-Final

ROUND2

Only 24 will make it into the quarter-final, each put under a truck-load of stress as they leave the city and take on some high-speed corners!

Round 3 - Semi-Final

ROUND3

Hopefully our 12 semi-finalists can manage to not crash from the awesome distracting view! To make things worse, we added in a few surprises...

Round 4 - Final

ROUND4

At last, the decision for our Racing Champion will be made from the 6 finalists. One wrong move through the mountains and your chance to take the crown will be gone.

@Digital You're not modifying the tracks with any silly jump ramps this time, do you?

But that drag strip in Las Vegas was a nice idea.

@Fairless Obviously, stability needs to be maxed. I would say 4x2 will be best for drag qualifying, because of lower weight - dont't forget that fuel also has weight, no need to fill up. On the other hand, 6x2 are much more stable while cornering, but acceleration may be lower due to more weight.

Nice event but the competitive part is weird, no rules regarding trucks, this means Scania or Volvo with 6 speed gearbox, anything else will just suck... the only reason why im not interested. It would be nicer if you'd do it rally style, make groups and without elimination. Groups: trucks inside each group have the same engine power and gearbox. Also you have 3 races, this could be stages, each stage one weekend, players start one minute apart... that's how you get fair outcome and each player gets to do their best without waiting to get crashed by another driver... this event will win the driver with the most luck, with 6 speed truck and 3500Nm of torque. 3000Nm could win too (MB, Man), with some luck that is.

We do have a few surprises around the tracks! :)

Will there be a server speed limit?

Where's the fun in that?! There will not be a speed limit.

Is it possible to get prize money in PayPal instead of steam gift card form?

It is not possible. We will be sending the gift cards via Steam directly, 3 days after the event.

Will we have an online leaderboard like in 2019? (I don't remember what you use last time).

There will be a real-time leaderboard, check out the details here: https://forum.truckersmp.com/index.php?/topic/93655-live-updates-racing-championship/

I have a question.

Can a player disqualified from the event?

Another question.

Can I modify my truck during the race?

Players are disqualified, yes. For Saturday, the amount of players will determine how many are disqualified. On Sunday, the slowest 3 players in each race are disqualified.

You can modify your truck between races, yes.
