No sound

Every time I boot up Ats mp it plays the start up sounds then the menu music for a split second, then cuts out. When I load into the game I can't hear anything. I've made sure the audio output device was correct, I verified the files on steam and I restarted my computer.

Could you tell us if you play with remote, keyboard or steering wheel? since it happened to me on an occasion that I entered the ATS and when the PlayStation 4 controller was connected I recognized it as an audio device, and derived all the audio to the joystick. When that problem happens to you, check the audio output, and where it is playing, since that may be the error

Update: my sound will play through my monitor, but not my headset, the headset I use is a razer kraken head set, it is connected to a audio controller that is connected via USB port.

The problem may be due to having your audio card set to output higher than 48000 Hz.

 

1. Go into the  Control Panel and click "Sound".

 

2. Highlight your Speakers, and click "Properties".

 

3. Go to the Advanced tab and bring down the "Default Format" drop down menu.

 

4. Select either 16-bit 48000 Hz, or 24-bit 48000 Hz and save the changes.

 

5.Try running the game again.

Hey

Try Verifying integrity of game files via steam to do this simply

Right click ATS in the steam Library > click on properties > local files > verify game integrity

your issue could just be a corrupt file

Hello again!

 

If the sound is played on your monitor and not in the headset it means that the error is in the sound output. Go to "sound settings" and in "output device" choose your headset.
