Traffic

Hey, if you are playing single player the traffic will be simulated (AI), you can turn this off if you wish however.

On Multiplayer (TMP) there is no AI traffic, so the traffic you see will be other players.

You can enjoy multiplayer  with a group of friends of just driving around on your own as it is a great way to meet fellow drivers

If there was AI traffic on TMP, it would be even more chaotic.

Hope this helps :)

Hello.  If you play in singleplayer mode you will have traffic in the game.  And if you want to play in multiplayer, then there will be no traffic, only real players.

Regards  :)

The truth is the singleplayer has much advanced because of SCS updates, but the multiplayer stays the same. Nothing was developed or introduced for years. Everything SCS introduced doesn't work here or turned off. Npc traffic look like unfeasible dream. Patreon should help with it, but lately the server went even more downhill with disconnects every day.

Mate, if we could have a server with AI traffic (adjusted from place to place and always depended on the real traffic each place has or even as a simple normal modded traffic) together with all of us, the players would be forced to follow the rules bcs the AI trucks or cars, doesnt understand from damage or bad language or massive nonstop reports out of blue (the most of the reports are coming from those fasters anyway).

So, the fasters would be forced automatically to behave properly on the road either with other players, either with AI traffic vehicles, either with both together (players and AI vehicles. The congested areas wouldn't be anymore congested. Maybe with higher traffic but it would be IMPOSSIBLE for the fasters or the idlers to chill middle of the road, on the sides or even to increase speed bcs they would damage themselves constantly, even when a player would like to overpass an AI vehicle, would know that the AI vehicle would reduce the speed automatically or even would stop. So the accidents would be slowly eliminated or at least reduced by a big enough percentage.

Additionally with the AI traffic we would have more realistic roads. What i mean, is that we would be able to see trucks and generally vehicles more often than we do now in a MULTIPLAYER mode supposedly, despite the server you would choose. Some players would choose a server with 50-100 players only bput with the AI traffic everything would be fine (as the AI vehicles follow always the road rules, limits...etc). So everyone would be "satisfied"

@ReierV8 NPC vehicles in MP would be a new weapon for trolls. Instead of crashing into other players, they'd be able to simply crash into a bot vehicle so all players nearby are affected. No need for blocking roads themselves, just hit a couple of BOT trucks and they do the job. And guess what? Bot vehicles don't do F7 when they are stuck, they stay there as long as the road isn't clear and they can move again.

Bot vehicles in MP would be completely catastrophic with the current playerbase, most of which cares nothing about simulation, you can see every time you play that 95% of the players you find on the roads are going just full speed, overtaking on the grass or the hard shoulder, if there are no other gaps available. And they wouldn't stop doing that just because of bot vehicles, they don't give a **** about real players, why whould they give a **** about bots that can't even report them?

You won't fond AI vehicles in TMP unfortunately - I don't think there are plans for this either.

I know. But well it would be nice to include that too as the traffic between players and AI would be more interesting. At least in a specific, separate server with specific rules and limits.

There have been plans for TruckersMP to introduce an AI vehicle server but it never went through because SCS are constantly updating their AI so the Developers here wouldn't be able to keep changing it at the pace SCS do.

Here is a post which may help clarify this :)
