In game microphone

Hello,

 

Just downloaded the game but I don't seem to be able to activate the microphone. I use a qwerty keyboard and when I press on X nothing happen. I can ear perfectly other players but I cannot transmit, anyone have this issue?

Now please try the steps below regarding the problem.

 

1-Make sure the correct device is selected in Steam> Settings> Communication> Voice recorder, test the microphone from the same place again.

2-Open the game. On the desktop, right click on the speaker icon on the bottom right in the launch bar below and go to the "Recording Devices" section. Make only one selected.

3-Press the "TAB" button in the game and try to make your Voice Chat settings in Settings.

First, make sure that you have the correct device and input volume selected in the in-game menu (press tab then right-click and navigate to settings > sound).
If the in-game settings are correctly set up, make sure you hold 'X' ('X' is in the same position on both the 'qwertz' and 'qwerty' keyboards. Also note, that if you use your keyboard for driving, you can only hold 2 keys at the same time, pressing a third one will either cancel one of previous two or 'lock' both of them)
After this if you still have problems, check your microphone settings in windows (right-click 'Speakers' on the taskbar and select 'Open Sound settings' and set up then test your microphone).

Well I dont see any communication tab in my steam settings, maybe I dont look at the proper place

@John-Doe  Start the game Normal via TrucksMP Launcher. After u spawned ingame in the City u Saved before do the following steps

 

1. Hit ,, TAB ,, to open the Player List
2. Press the right mouse button so that a mouse cursor appears
3. Click on the little gear icon in the tab list, which open the settings window
4. Click on the ,, Sound Tab ,, above
5. Set ur Speaker Device of whitch u will hear the ingame sound, under ,, speaker device ,,
6. Then in the Window scroll down a little and set ur microphone device which u whant to use to communicate whit other players, under ,, microphone device ,,
7. U can then hit start test button which lets u test ur microphone device, the Progressbar shows you how well you are perceived by others in terms of the volume of the microphone you have set
8. Under ,, microphone volume ,, u can als ajust ur volume of ur device ur useing to transmit ur voice
9. Now press Apply and you should have everything set up correctly so that you are ready to talk to other people in-game

 

if u did this u shoud be abble to use ur microphone in TruckersMP.
