Hello, @BubbleMuscles,

are you using the new DirectX 11?

Because it's only experimental version and not final, that can cause lags, that you are describing here.

If you are using the new version, I recommend you to change it to older DirectX 9, where it runs very smoothly.

You can share your opinion here if it's solved by changing it or not.

Best regards,
Newo.

Hey @BubbleMuscles,

I have similar specs to your computer and have never faced an issue about the TAB dropping FPS. It could be due to it loading in a bunch of players in TAB if you are in a highly populated area.

About the freezing when you Alt- TAB that is normal as you are using a lot of resources on the game and you suddenly switch to something else like the desktop the game freezes.

Hope this helped.

Thanks coolio859,

Hello,

Even when reinstalling the game you will still have a number of settings that will be transferred across from where ETS saves game data.

If you do some digging around the Truckers MP forum, you'll see that similar issues have been reported in the past.

There are a number of things that could be causing this.

As seen on the attached post, one thing to try is to minimize the amount of trucks/drivers that you have operating with your company (therefor the game will be processing less data which could solve the issue),

Another thing to try is running the .exe to the game as an Administrator (Right click and then click "Run as Administrator).

If this fails to work it would also be worthwhile having a look at the crash log that is located in the Documents folder (In the Euro Truck Simulator 2 Folder).

The data in the crash log could help a number of users here on the forum to better understand what might be causing the issue.

Hopefully this helps!
